In the shadows and flames, Primals will fall…

And from the blood and ash, new gods will rise.

What was dreamt.

Poppy was never meant to awaken, and the consequences are devastating and far-reaching, stirring ancient powers from their slumber and transforming Casteel and Kieran in ways even the Fates couldn’t have foreseen. But what that means is the least of their concerns. For now.

What was foreseen.

The Blood Crown has fallen, but what has risen is a far greater danger than they’ve ever faced. From flesh and fire, the Great Conspirator has returned to the mortal realm, and he wants only one thing. They must stop the true Primal of Death before he regains his strength, and it won’t be easy. Even weakened, his influence is undeniable. His power, unthinkable.

Has come to be.

While the future of the realms rests upon them, they won’t stand alone. The gods have awakened—each harboring their own blood-soaked secrets. But they must navigate an unbalanced realm, where every choice—past and present—has the potential to not only undo everything they’ve fought for but also destroy the very bonds that have Joined them together.

For the Harbinger and the Bringer of Death and Destruction has risen.

EXCUSE ME MISS JLA?! WHAT THE ACTUAL F***?! And just because I haven’t met my word minimum, prepared to be so mad and hurt by the end of this book. Good luck, and may the odds be ever in your favor (ahem, they will not be.)

SHE KILLED OF WHO?!?!

I have to jump on the bandwagon here. For one, I agree that this was supposed to be the final book. AND it DID say that in the description which has now suddenly changed. NEXT SPOILER ALERT....And it almost seems like it is the last book when you take the whole last part into consideration where it suggests that the story continues in the book Fall of wrath and ruin.... so im really really confused. But really, this cannot be end just considering the absolutely massive and annoying cliffhanger. There is just no way that this was the end to their story. Because IF this was the end, then this would have turned into the most crappiest series ever and a MAJOR waste of time. So Jennifer, you better write another one and fix everything that you just screwed up. I'm not happy at all with this.

Oh but on another note one good thing, the narrator Stina FINALLY doesn't say eeeeeaather anymore. She finally says eather. Although I think it's cuz Jennifer has changed it the word now over to the essence instead of eather. I'm sure some of you have noticed. So yeah props to you Stina for finally getting it (after all it only took you like 6 books to figure it out) but still THANK YOU. I was grinding my teeth just thinking about having to listen to her saying it like she did again but nope, she fixed it. And for that my ears thank you.

Wait what?

I hated the ending very disappointing and bizarre
I wanted a happy ending instead it was awful

Very confusing in the story line

I've been really enjoying the series. Yes, the predictability has been there the whole time, but the character development had been satisfying enough that I didn't really mind. (If you read enough, most books can become, unfortunately, predictable- I'm sure you know what I mean.) But the plot has been stalled, seemingly in the same place for the last two books (this one and Cas' perspective book) with it only really starting to move along the last several chapters. I'm also butthurt not to get more Sera and Ash, as frankly, I prefer their world and characters more. As a final note, I'm tired of rape being so prominent in this series. I was REALLY looking forward to wrapping up this series due to that and now, sigh, I HAVE to read one more book... the one already promised to be last wasn't enough for the author apparently. Frankly, I believe she's just trying to keep her money making project going as long as possible because she definitely didn't use her pages/time in this last book effectively. Such a shame... as, again, I had been enjoying myself.

predictable and a cash grab

Love the series. Dislked the end. If it is the end?
Casteel deserves better. Love the love story with Cas, Poppy, and Kieran
