Really? Awesome? Hilarious? Nope, it was more annoying than funny. Childish? Yup! She makes her sister sound like she had no backbone and would sleep with 9 guys at once if she wasn’t there to save her honor. I could go on, but the story is less than 1/2 way over and I’m irritated that I can’t get my credit back 😢.

Duet narration people! Worth the credit!

I listen to way to many books and I almost always listen to them sped up to at least 1.25 if not 1.5 but if they are bad zoom it up to 2.

I haven’t listen to an audio book at regular speed like ever. But pippa’s dialogue is so damn fast and bright and so entertaining that I have to slow it down. It blew my mind when I was missing stuff. I never miss stuff. Her dialogue is just so damn good and so damn quick.

I didn’t think I was going to be into this book when I read the description. An alpha female type is an interesting one to read and the balance can be super off but damn she nails it. It was in my wishlist... but when I found out it was duet narrated I immediately clicked buy. To the marketing team who reads these... stick duet narration in big bold letters on the cover in the description etc and insta buy!

I really loved this story and you can’t get better than jason clarke and Erin Mallon with hockey and flying.

One of my FAVORITES!

I have fast become one of Pippa's biggest fans, but this book had me literally laughing out loud! I fell in love with these characters in the other books but I absolutely love the way she gave them their own story.
I love the way she wrote Zeus with humility but still kept his alpha character.
5 stars and can't wait for more from Pippa!

This one is so much fun!! 😂 I lol so much that I had tears in my eyes. Great fun and silly characters that you can't help but love. Looking for some adult humor and funny characters then this one is it. Loved Jason and Erin. They're always so good together. Have fun with this one!!!

Not for me.

This one just didn't do it for me. It was OK. I listened to the audiobook and while Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke are two of my favorite narrators, I still had issues and just couldn't get into this book. I rarely DNF, so I listened to the whole thing (again, mainly because I love Jason and Erin) but was shaking my head through a lot of it. The constant horny-ness and talk about sex was a bit annoying, (and don't get me wrong, I love a romance with lots of heat) and although this is supposed to be a romcom, I didn't find myself laughing very much. Zeus was likeable enough but I didn't care for Joey. It was just over-the-top and I wasn't relating to the characters At All! It was okay enough that I listened to the whole thing, but it wasn't a very engaging or enjoyable read for me.

Where’s the story? I wouldn’t want to be around any of these people. Sounded like teenagers trying to out cuss everything. Not for me.

So much fun!

I always love Pippa Grant’s book. They are well-written, funny as heck, and so original. Zeus Berger is one of the funniest, snarkiest, and just so over-the-top lovable charachers ever written, and add Jason Clarke’s narration, and my mind is blown! Zeus is one of those characters that you worry about a narrator doing him justice and capturing the funny nuances, but Jason Clarke is perfectly cast. Erin Mallon is a fantastic Joey as well. Loved this listen.

Hilarious & All Things Awesome!

Pippa is made of awesome! Her characters are so original! I had a smile plastered on my face from the first few minutes! This book has everything: Humor, positive role models, Berger hijinks, and details behind the amazing character that is Zeus Berger.

I have been waiting for Zeus' story since the beginning, and this definitely delivered. All along I have wondered who could be a match for that larger-than-life person/personality. Joey is so freaking cool! I love her attitude, independence, and rock star ability to kick everyone's ass and make no apologies! She is PERFECT!

Only Zeus could recover from a start like this one, with his ego intact. From the very first scene in that PERFECT outfit he was everything I have come to love about the Berger Twins, and more! This sex-positive, snort-laugh-generating, deep-in-a-sneaky-way romance is everything Berger-worthy - and more!

Two of my favorite narrators were just the icing on this duet-style narration with excellent performances!

Definitely worth the credit. Stellar performances, hilarious dialogue, sticky situations! (less)

This is the second time I've read/listened to The Pilot and the puck-Up and I loved it just as much, if not more than the first read. The Pilot and the Puck Up is the second book I ever read by Pippa Grant and revisiting it now, after I've read all of them all. The audiobook version isn't as funny as the ebook but I still laughed out loud in parts. I adore Joey and Zeus and the enjoyment that always accompanies Pippa Grant's books.

On the narration: I loved the duet narration. I'm not usually thrilled with Erin Mallon's narration style. Generally she has a vocal-fry that drive me nuts. However, she doesn't do this nearly as much in The Pilot and the Puck Up. Maybe because of the type of narration or maybe something else but I truly enjoyed this narration.

Hot and Steamy

Fantastic book if you are looking for hot steamy book with a story this is the obvious her books are amazing and keep you entertained until the very end audio is amazing to

An audiobook not to miss!

That was an eventful ride! I already loved the author’s special brand of humor, but she overdid herself this time.

The characters are unique, quirky, constantly bantering. Between the monster of a guy with a soft heart, his basically mute twin brother, the friend addicted to helium, and our main female character, also called Fireball, who can beat anyone at anything when she doesn’t pilot her plane, and who has somehow forgotten that she had functional lady bits until she met with Zeus, it’s a whole circus that you’ll meet.

And the theme of the book is that, behind those appearances–sometimes even behind the persona those characters have chosen to show the world–people don’t see who they really are, and they can sometimes forgot it too. But always trust the people who love you to see through the costume.

And the steam! Hot damn, the author brought the sexy on this time.

And the audiobook is amazing. Both narrators are regular with this author, and they have the perfect pace and energy to convey the fun and the sexy. And… it’s in duet style! The back and forths are well done. An audiobook not to miss!

Hot chemistry between Zeus and Fireball

Another great addition to this fabulous series. There's plenty of hilarious situations as Zeus tries to break down Joey's emotional barriers only to discover a personality as strong as his own. Just love all the characters from previous books in the series and the narrators did a fabulous job of bringing all the characters to life. I heartily recommend the whole of this series ❤

Listen with a box of tissues

I read this one with a box of tissues. But not for the reason you are thinking. I laughed so hard on so many occasions that I actually cried tears of laughter. These characters and the situations are just spot on. The sports side of this book is well balanced with the rest of the story.

Split your sides laughing!

I absolutely loved this audio!! It combines warmth, fun, the wittiest of banter, with some of the best jokes ever! Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke owned me completely throughout and prove their skills a hundred times over. What a way to start the New Year!! 💗💕💖💗💕💖💗💕💖🎊🎉

So funny, so sexy. Some super hot 🔥🔥🔥moments! I loved these two characters right from the start. A great RomCom:) Jason and Erin did amazing with the narrative!!

Love this series!

Ok so I've read or listened to all the books in the series and I previously read this story and have now listened to the audiobook. What can I say- this book is hilarious. The photo is perfect in how I think about Zeus. He's a massive hockey player and what I loved the most is how many times he screwed up while trying to impress Joey. I also adored how strong and smart Joey was and how she bested Zeus in everything, leading to SO. MANY. LAUGHS.

This book was funny, sweet, and we got to catch up with or meet many of the characters from other books in this world. And this is a fun world, filled with weird but lovable people that just make you root for them. And Zeus, he's one of them- because even though he's one of the best hockey players in the world. he still is a puck-up. And the laughs are non-stop.

I have the ebook and the audiobook and the audiobook is in duet style with Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon. The narration is amazing- there's a reason Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon are two of my favorite narrators. Jason Clarke is perfect as Zeus but I have to admit that I loved it when he played Manning, the hockey playing Prince (the accent- sigh). Manning's story is next (Royally Pucked) and it is just as enjoyable. I'll be listening to that audiobook next and I can't wait. If you're looking for laughs and swoons along the way, this is a great book with a fantastic narration team.

Loved it as much as I did the ebook!!

I’ve never been big on the thought of actually listening to audio books and have only recently discovered how much I enjoy them.... mind you, it helps when you listen to stories by some of your favourite authors!!

I loved reading the kindle ebook of The Pilot and the Puck-Up and felt no less about the audible version!!

Jason Clarke & Erin Mallon did an excellent job narrating the story (I could listen to them both read all day - which is pretty much what I did today!! 😉) though having a great tale to work with helps a tad I’m sure.

Pippa Grant is a whizz when it comes to humour, heart and heat and I’m an definite fan.... I’m looking forward to listening to more of my fave books by her!
