Plot

Must for Grisham fans. Certainly worth anyone’s time. Many characters and fast moving. Thanks John and Audiobooks!

Great book

The book and the story are both amazing, just like the movie. The performance of the narrator was less than great, but I made it through.

Story lines are never repetitive! Been a fan for over 30 years and can’t wait for more

This is one of his best, I go back to it every few years. It's almost like comfort food for thought!

Great story

Thrilling; exciting; a real page-turner! I love Grisham books; his style of writing keeps me totally engaged. Many characters to keep track of, though, which sometimes makes it hard to follow or keep up with. But it’s a great story.

Fantastic

A perfect little thriller. This has all the right ingredients. The reader took a couple of chapters to get used to, but once I got comfortable with his voice it was fine.

Undoubtedly Grisham’s finest.

It’s hard to believe John Grisham could write mediocre books after this one; but let’s face it, there can only be one number one book and this is it.

Too complicated to listen on Audible. At some point I will re read this. Very interesting characters.

Disliked narrator!

Story is good. Not one of Grisham's best, but doable. Narrator no good. My favorite is Michael Beck.

Can’t stand the narration

I have read the book and watched the movie so to also listen to the book hopefully reflects my enjoyment of the story. Unfortunately the narration of this novel is so gruff it is hard to listen to. The narrator makes everyone sound similar in my opinion and certainly doesn’t bring the characters to life…I had no idea how manly the author felt Darby sounded like a man.
