A quick moving story with interesting and compelling characters. I loved the consistency and quality of representation. The realm they go to is quite intriguing on its own. I sincerely hope the author writes a sequel.

A great book for 5th to 8th graders. A little bit of horror, mystery, and action and adventure. A wonderful LGTBQ element that doesn't dominate the story.

At least they didn’t kill off the parents. Narrator sounded like it was a text book guidance counselor rendition. Story lacking depth of detail into other woods, generic and repetitive on they/them, and generic love interest. Not able to captivate reader in first two chapters to want to continue reading/listening.
