Publisher's Summary

I was eight years old when I found out I had a father. It was the same day I held my dead mother in my arms while praying her life wasn't really over.

I was dropped into the middle of a new family not long after that. My dad, his wife, and their two kids to be exact. My new brother was ten years old and my sister was five. It doesn't take a genius to figure out I wasn’t supposed to be there.

My family ended up bigger than that though. My dad was a member of the Aces High Motorcycle Club.

From the very beginning I was ostracized because of who my mother had been. The daughters of club members were generally known as MC Princesses. My little sister was one. My title was a bit different, and proved that my mom's sins would always be held against me. I was The Other Princess.

My family, both by blood and MC ties, did wrong by me so I walked away from them. That was until he came home from the Army.

He tried to fix everything.

He tried to win an unattainable heart that had shut down years earlier.

I would know since it was my heart he was after.

He didn't realize it would take a miracle.

Secretly, I hoped I could still believe in miracles.

*Note: The Aces High Charleston Series should be read in order. The Charleston Chapter Series of the Aces High MC Franchise deals heavily with internal family themes, and is not your typical MC against MC with romance thrown in book. This is a family drama. The family just so happens to live and breathe bikes and the MC lifestyle. The only things blown up in this audiobook will be a few hearts. ;) You have been warned! This is a full length novel.

Not your typical MC

This story is so much more than an MC book. Yes, it involves an MC but it focuses more on the family life outside of the MC. It was a very interesting twist and had me hooked from the beginning. I had a hard time putting this book down to get some sleep! The book started out rough and had me worried about the path the story would take but I that path quickly changed to one I never saw coming. I hope Christine has more books following this particular club, as I feel I have connected with them in ways I hadn't thought possible at the beginning!

The narration was amazing! I love that this book is done in dual narration, it definitely brings the audio to another level! Sarah and DC did great with their respective characters and really brought out all of the emotions that happen in this book!

Had potential but is just too whiny

I read the blurb and it sounded interesting, I love MCs and angst filled books. Good lord that's not what this is at all. This is a story of a girl who was ostracized and bullied, then whined about it for 200 pages. It felt like high school kids decided to play cool and make a MC. The characters are immature and act like children, not grown ass adults. <spoiler>her brother's friend yelled at her at school then her father - the MC's VP - stormed home to yell at her about it. COME ON!</spoiler> An MC isn't getting involved in schoolyard drama.

The whole story is her playing the victim while the men of the MC are constantly grovelling for her forgiveness. I could not roll my eyes hard enough every time one of these oh-so-tough bikers were snivelling because they felt oh so bad. I understand why Ever was hurting but after hearing her complain about it 150 times, I was over it. Then we get Declan's POV and it's literally the same damn thing. Constant whining, no action.

Don't even get me started on the absolute ridiculousness of the whole tattoo thing. Talk about being extra.

There is no romance and no connection between the main characters. There is someone else who would have made a much better hero. The plot really did not work to be set amongst an MC.

The audio version is the only reason I didn't DNF this. I enjoyed Sarah Puckett, she brings emotion and makes her characters come to life. I wasn't in love with DC Cole to be the male voice for this particular book but I do typically enjoy him in general.

Heartbreaking and emotional

This was an interesting, unique and not your typical MC story. This is more about the families of the MC rather the MC itself. Ever’s story was one of heartbreak and forgiveness. Declan was amazing, being that person that Ever needed to compliment her own strength. The story and characters were well written and developed, completely relatable. The narrators did a great job with these characters.

Amazing

This was a great MC story. I was heartbroken for Ever so many times through this book. The guys in the story were mostly typical MC guys but there were a few exceptions. I adored Ever's step-mother, she was a true mom. Her sister was a bit off putting but I think will grow up well. Her brother and dad....well that's a huge part of the story.

Deklan was wonderful! He stood up to his family, real and MC about what they had done to Ever and never backed down. The narrator did a great job giving all the characters a voice and I loved the back and forth between Ever and Deklan's points of view. I thought it was great that she didn't run back to the guy that broke her heart and was horrid to her. Overall, I loved it.

5/5 for me.

Blown Away

So well written. I was taken on an emotional rollercoaster along with the main character. I couldn't believe the hurt and heartache that Ever had gone through. She had no one to trust. These authors are true artists I hope and pray they put the rest of the series on audible
.
I've read some of the other reviews and some call her a whiny cry baby and I wonder if we'd read the same book. This young woman kept all of the hurt and anguish to herself and gave those that hurt her chance after chance to get it right and they failed her at every turn. Instead of a wo-is-me attitude, she asked for nothing and did what was best and safest for her.

I loved the detail in the description of her artwork.

the Narrators were perfect and very relevant.

My only question is who died??

Excellent Audible book

This is a different MC story. This is the story of a young woman that came to live live with the Aces as a young child . Because she was the result of an affair of her father she was shunned even though she was an innocent child that only wanted acceptance and love. This is an emotional heartbreaker. Ever is emotionally scarred but she is also strong and driven to take care of herself. When Declan returns from military service several years later he sees the strong but broken girl he once knew. He sets on a journey to heal and love her even if he must give up his MC family. The narrators make the authors' story even more emotional. Sarah's voice makes you feel all of the heartache that Ever goes through, while D.C. gives us the strength of Declan. I received this Audible book in exchange for an honest review. I highly recommend this book. It is definitely a rollercoaster ride of emotions. However, with the strength of character and love there is hope.

The Other Princess

This was a wild ride of emotions. The message conveyed through ink was a great way to show the emotions of Ever. The courage it took to not only confront but to forgive everyone shows real strength.

Heartbreaking redemption

What a ride. The anguish and heartache made this emotional story both enjoyable and challenging. Ever’s story was definitely a unique approach to an MC style book but it did not make it any less enjoyable.

Magnificent Story & Listen🎧 Heartfelt & Emotional!

Wow, this story just blew me away! Christine Michelle is a new to me author and I will definitely be checking out some of her other work. “The Other Princess” is a beautiful story, one that tugs at your heart. It well written, well told story and completely captivating, once I started the book I did not want to put it down. It is not your typical MC story, it is so much more. The characters are well developed, Ever, the lead character is the star of the story, well it is her story and how her family and the MC club treated her. She did not have an easy life, her Mom died when she was 8 and she was delivered to her father, one she did not even know existed. She was not welcomed by all with open arms, but that first day her new brother, Toby told her everything will be ok, that he and his friend Jay would protect her. Unfortunately it did not turn out that way when they betrayed her. The author did a great job capturing how cruel teenage bullying could go. My heart went out to Ever, I was so glad Lucy, her stepmom was there for her when all the drama played out. I adored Ever’s strength and how she set out to make her own life. I appreciated when Declan came into the picture, loved how supportive he was, how patient he was with her and his idea to help her heal. He is a true hero. But can a broken person be healed, can those who broke her be forgive. I highly recommend this story, it takes you on an emotional rollercoaster ride, there is drama, angst, heartache, romance, friendship and learning to let go, learning to forgive, learning to really live. Christine Michelle, thank you for this great story, I am looking forward to the next in the series.

I listened to the Audible edition, narrated but he talented Sarah Puckett and D.C. Cole. They are awesome voice performers. They bring the characters to life, give each their own voice and personality. Their performances reflects the emotions of the characters, Sarah’s Ever was just heart wrenching at times, she allowed you to feel her pain and raw emotion. I loved D.C. Cole’s Declan too. Both are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen🎧.

I would give this more stars if I could!

I started this story with a bit of trepidation because it was an MC story. But, oh my heart!!! This was so much more than a MC club story. It was a story of a child lost and tormented by those who were supposed to care for her, found by a man who saw her and loved every single piece of her, and who was rescued.

Ever list her mom when she was 8 and was taken to live with her biological dad, whom she had never met. He was the VP of a MC and told her she’s have a large family beyond his home. That move started out ok, but soon spiraled into heartache and pain for her. That pain stayed with her because of the ugly and painful words spoken by her friend that broke her even further. all because he believed a lie.

He finds out later, that it was a lie, and he begs for her forgiveness. She can’t forgive... his words caused an avalanche of things to happen in her life and took her to almost a point of no return.

Another friend comes back to town several years later and sees her... and sees and hears what’s been happening to her and makes it his mission to fix everything. He berates all of the people who were supposed to have taken care of her and have not done it. He falls in love with her...

There’s So much more to this story and I could go in and on about just HOW much I loved this!! But i will just say this... you will not regret, for one minute the time it takes to listen to this book! Not only have Christine Michelle and Christine M Butler written a fantastic story, but Sarah Puckett, who is fan-freaking-tasting, and DC Cole, who is one of my favorite male voices, do an amazing job with the narration!!!

Real forgveness is hard

Wow, real forgiveness is not that easy, specially when you had a huge betrayal from someone who you trusted and was supposed to protect you. This is what happened to Ever, and it was really heartbreaking to see. I was really mad and upset, and I don'tknow what would I have done if I were in her place.

I really love Declan and how he never give up on Ever and the way he helped her toward her journey of forgiveness, he's really great!

As for the narration, well, is Sarah Puckett, so you can not expect this to be nothing but great, she was amazing expressing all the emotions and portraying the characters really well.

Wonderful! It is so sad how people really do treat others, even children like how the MC was treated here. I only wish I knew who they were taking about in the epilog. Amazing story with s wonderful underlying message!

Just loved it

Beautifully narrated by Sarah Puckett and D C Cole (oh my goodness his low growly voice!!!). Such emotion and empathy just pulled me right in and I forgot that I was listening to just one person.

When you consider the theme of the book it somehow seems wrong to say I really loved it. But I did, I loved it. The characters are so beautifully written, I felt what they were going through with them. My emotions followed theirs on the roller coaster they went on. There was more than one time I wanted to slap people silly for what they were doing, yes I got that involved. My only quibble is the epilogue...I'm really not at all sure who they were talking about. It hasn't ruined the book just left me with questions....

The Other Princess

This turned out to be such a deep story. It reminds of how we all have little things in our families we over look, but never change. In this case it scarred a young girls life, heart and trust. The only issue I noticed was a bit of repeating the situation, I know some of it was done to relay it to other characters and perhaps bring more of an impact to the reader. This was way more than just an MC book! Fantastic listen! The narration team did an amazing job. Thanks audiobook addition for recommending this book!

Different type of MC romance!!

This is a spectacular book about how Ever had to deal with her past hurts. The story will have you crying and thinking the worst of her family members. She misses out on the normal teenage things because she felt like an outsider. This is a heartbreaking and heartwarming romance. This is a fantastically written story.
The narrator’s Sarah Puckett and DC Cole make a fabulous team together. I love listening to Sarah and DC Cole narration because there are the perfect combination of sweet, sassy with sexy rasp.
I definitely recommend this book!!

Fantastic!

I absolutely loved this book. It was an emotional story, I even shed some tears. Ever was such a great girl, beautiful inside and out so the ill treatment and resentment she had to endure literally broke my heart. I loved Declan for wanting to make it better for Ever and loving her the way he did.

Both narrators did a fabulous job. Their voices were perfect for the main characters and also impersonated all the others very well. The quality of the recording was superb too.

A thought provoking story

This emotionally poignant story shows how the consequence of a few harmfully uttered words can change the life of an eight year old girl, even into her young adulthood. One brave young man helped set straight the repercussions of the rift.
Sarah Puckett and DC Cole narrated this thought provoking and beautiful story.

Great Story and Characters.

This an Audiobook review of The other Princess, it was a roller coaster of emotions a sad story of Ever trying to survive her own family who constantly rejects her and talk and do things to her that no kid should go through.. She was very miss understood and judged by the mistakes and burdens of her parents and past. she was fighting for people to see her from whom she was but there was no one around her who will help her face the fears and sadness she constantly felt..

it really made me feel very emotional to hear what Ever was going through, how mean they were to just a child.. she lost all her hopes and dreams at such a young age, thinking this was her life. but sooner or later someone will finally see the truth and set her free.

Life has many scenarios and Ever didn't expect what Deck was about to offer, he is her knight in shining armor, who is coming to finally set things straight with Ever and her family, he didn't know things were this bad, he was out overseas clueless about what was happening back home.. Deck, is strong, bold and he won't take anything from anybody when it comes to Ever he will do everything to see her smile..

Love the narrations by Sarah Puckett and D.C. Cole they really made me feel all the emotions the characters were living and going through. Their work was beautiful, emotional giving so much depth to the story and the characters.. I really enjoy it..

Overall the story was good, with the right amount of angst and situations that will keep you super interested and hooked to the story..
