Betrayal and Redemption

Great story, but it took me a lot of effort to stay focused throughout the third-person narrative. The narrator saying “she/he said…they…when talking to themselves in a dual point of view is confusing. Adult stories should be told in the first person, not like children’s books. Nonetheless, it’s a great story that struck my emotions like a violin. Although I don’t agree with infidelity, I judged the story as a whole, and it was engaging. In this drama, a sheltered housewife with no other duty than to care for her family doesn’t have a way out after discovering the betrayal. The husband is an alpha male who had the chance to build a career and chose to indulge in infidelity out of curiosity. Unfortunately, he gets caught and begins a redemption arc. The question that lingers in my mind is whether it would have happened if he had never been caught.

Redemption is Possible

Elise Camden is one of my go to authors. I have read all 4 of her cheating husband redemption books. Kate is not a doormat and James realizes what he’s lost. He spends the book groveling and putting in the work to earn Kate’s forgiveness. I loved the angst. I loved the characters. I loved the HEA!

it was kinda boring, I felt like this type of book is not for me, slow and you can play a drinking game with all the repeat sentences. glad they could work it out.
