Publisher's summary

In this thrillingly twisty tale of seduction, betrayal, and obsession, a scorned wife isn’t the only one looking for answers—at any price …

Adira Smith-Cortez knows how to turn around a troubled past. Now she’s a selfmade multi-millionaire who takes exquisite care of herself and her only true love: her husband, Gabriel. Adira has it all—except the answer to one tormenting question: why is attentive, affectionate Gabriel cheating on her—with not just one, but two women. There’s sexy Jocelyn, a club owner. And then there’s Julianna, a celebrity makeup artist he’s even crazier about. In a tricky twist, vengeful Jocelyn offers Adira the perfect plan to get her straying spouse back …

It sounds simple: Adira will befriend Julianna through a fake identity, play on her and Gabriel’s vulnerabilities and cause them to split up permanently. Determined to reclaim her happiness, Adira won’t—can’t—stop to think what could possibly go wrong …

Until too many of Gabriel’s lies start adding up to a disquieting truth. Until Julianna discovers who Adira really is—and Jocelyn pushes Adira to ever-more-unthinkable extremes. With her world collapsing and shattering memories tearing her apart, how far will Adira’s obsession take her—and how much of herself is she willing to lose in the process …

Who?

A bit confusing….narration made it even more. A little twist towards the end I didn’t see coming. A short listen (6+hours) and good for entertainment!

Correction

The narration was off. Good story line. Sad ending. Correcting my previous review. This isn’t my favorite book.

Not the thriller I was hoping for

This is not a book I would recommend to anyone, especially through audible. It was read with so much theatrics! The twist was not very creative and everything happened towards the end of the book. I only listened to it to the end because I had invested time into it already.

Hard to listen to

The narration of this book made it hard to listen to. It’s a shame, because I feel like the storyline would probably be really good had it not been for the terrible narration.

Great story; not so great narration

The narration for this story threw me off because it was so inconsistent. One character should have the same voice. It was hard to follow along until I realized what was happening. Other wise the story was great!

Not a good listen

The story was overshadowed by the narration. Narrators are not good at all. Over-exaggeration and every character but main narrator used exclamation and excitement for every character. Secondary narrator was slightly better but read each line so many thoughts were broken like reading words on a page not narrating a story. Not much of a thriller but the twist at then was definitely one I didn’t see coming. Maybe this book is a better read than listen.

Readers don’t match the content.

Adira the main characters vocal
expressions don’t match what she was going through and the way she voiced Jocelyn is over the top . The book seems to be drug out with empty content until the twist at the end. Not entertaining or thrilling at all. I would not recommend.

Meh

I don’t think this belongs in the thriller category. A nice twist at the end but that’s about it. The main character is annoying lol
