The riveting novel from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Liar.
“She stood in the deep, dark woods, breath shallow and cold prickling over her skin despite the hot, heavy air. She took a step back, then two, as the urge to run fell over her.”
Naomi Bowes lost her innocence the night she followed her father into the woods. In freeing the girl trapped in the root cellar, Naomi revealed the horrible extent of her father’s crimes and made him infamous. No matter how close she gets to happiness, she can’t outrun the sins of Thomas David Bowes.
Now a successful photographer living under the name Naomi Carson, she has found a place that calls to her, a rambling old house in need of repair, thousands of miles away from everything she’s ever known. Naomi wants to embrace the solitude, but the kindly residents of Sunrise Cove keep forcing her to open up - especially the determined Xander Keaton.
Naomi can feel her defenses failing, and knows that the connection her new life offers is something she’s always secretly craved. But the sins of her father can become an obsession, and, as she’s learned time and again, her past is never more than a nightmare away.

What a beginning, then it slows and you are wondering when the craziness will start again. Then it does and you are wondering why and how.
To me, it's pretty obvious who it was. I wanted to scream at Naomi and Mason, they should have known. They really should have figured this out.
Overall, great plot. The family of a psycho killer suffers just as much as his victims. Amazing journey and ending for Naomi.

If you could sum up The Obsession in three words, what would they be?
You don't get any real substance about what's going to happen to the main character Naomi until you're 22 chapters in out of 30 I think. For me it was really easy to find out who was going to be the serial killer that have been stalking her but you don't even realize that's happening until chapter 20 it seems like it wrapped up really quickly but really dragged on for the first 20 Pages trying to build story but with Nora Roberts I was expecting to go get eight chapters and then have some real substance to keep the story going as her others titles have. What was one of the most memorable moments of The Obsession?
When she confronts the young man from high school who turned out to be a serial killer and tells him she won't think of him but he'll always think of her. I like to think that she's the person who gets serial killers put in jail including her father in the sky now they can never catch herWhich scene was your favorite?
When Naomi realized that she actually lives having a place to call home and that her new town was her town and they'll love and protect their own. She was one of them and knowing who she really was didn't matter. If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Obsession of bloodlines. Because throughout the book every character has an obsession of some sort either to their bloodlines or if somebody else and their bloodline.Any additional comments?
It was an okay book but I was actually really disappointed that I bought it I was hoping to get something a little bit more throwing. I'm used to Nora Roberts taking a little bit of time to get the plot pieces going but not that much time she's usually got me after 8 chapters not 22.It took me a very long time to get into this book.
