Publisher's summary

You've heard this story before: a guy supposedly kills himself, but his best friend can't accept it. He calls in an investigator he knows to take a second look, certain there's more going on.

I'm the investigator. Secret Service Agent Sean Avery. The guy who called me? My ex, Vice President Jonathan Sharp. And the guy he doesn't believe put a bullet in his brain?

That was President Steven Baker.

The deeper I dig, the more things fall apart. I've got a dead president inside a locked room. A hidden note. A secret gun. A missing CIA officer.

And no one I can trust.

Now Jonathan's in the crosshairs, and if I don't figure out what really happened that night at Camp David, the love of my life might be the next president to die.

This M/M romantic suspense features smoldering forbidden love and a May/December second chance romance that ignites.

Love this Book!! Narrator.....NOPE!

I've read this book twice on Kindle and absolutely loved it. I admit I made a suggestion to Mr. Bauer on who I believed would do this book justice in narrating. Well, we got Mr. Solo...again. He was soooooo over the top I had to stop listening several times. It was laughable. Mr. Bauer is a wonderful writer, but jeez take a walk on the wild side and use a different narrator. Christian Fox, Aaron Sherlock, Troy Duran, Sean Crisden, Teddy Hamilton, Jacob Morgan, Kirt Graves and my fav. JF Harding. Anyone of these men would have knocked this book out of the park.

Alpha Male On Estrogen

When I read the synopsis I thought it sounded like a great thriller BUT: The protagonist Alpha Male spent as much of the book as I could take talking out his insecure feeling. The thriller took a backseat to simpering whining watered down sex scenes that were less about man on man sex then the Alpha’s feelings. An Alpha being torn over feelings is true fiction. An alpha leaves feelings to their submissives and subordinates. Key prefix there is “sub”. When it came to the unbelievable discussion about a “Safe Word “ I gave up. I’ve read several of this authors works that I really enjoyed, sadly this one wasn’t among them.

Great book! Except John solo reading

Great book was captivating with the story. I will never buy another book read by John solo. He is a book reader not a Narrator. I really want a refund because of that.

Amazingly good

This is such a fantastic listen, I could not put it down. John Solo's narration is always spot on and I'm never disappointed. This was my first book of Tal Bauer's but it won't be my last. Action, intrigue, espionage, romance, it has it all, I could not get enough. If you want a light fluffy read this book is not for you.

I can’t get enough!

I’ve only recently found the master works of Tal Bauer, and so far, I haven’t read one that hasn’t set my heart on fire! The attention to detail, the promise of a juicy plot twist with a back stabber hidden in plain sight, and the love shared between very well developed characters. These are the books that should be made into gay movies! I would pay to see every one of his books in theaters!

Good story. Good narration.

Sigh. This is another one of Tal Bauer's thrill rides. Plenty of emotional upheaval, several steamy scenes, and all the political intrigue you would expect for a story that takes place in the White House. The narration was worthy of the story, and John Solo does a good job adding personality to each character that he voices.

Tal Bauer is a master!

I'm going to say this every time. TAL BAUER IS A MASTER OF HIS CRAFT.

I will read EVERY POTUS/Secret Service Agent romance he puts out there. Always. They're all completely different while still giving you the intense suspense and emotion.

Another one by Tal Bauer

Great story, great narration. What more can you want? So sorry that Tal Bauer is no longer offering his books in audio format. Just have to appreciate what we’ve got.

Fantastic Assassination Mystery

This was a riveting, fast-paced race to find a killer -- the person who killed the President of the United States in a locked room at Camp David. The VP, now President, asks his former lover, Sean, who headed the Secret Service detail at Camp David, to investigate, and they soon realize it was murder. But no one else believes them and, in fact, the other agencies hinder Sean's investigation..

No one writes a political thriller like Tae Bauer and honestly, no one else could have narrated this with the same degree of polished performance except John Solo, who was beyond outstanding in this story. He has improved 1000 percent over the years and this performance was simply bravissimo.

Not saying more. Reading and/or listening is believing. This was fantastic. Don't miss it.
