SJ Himes writing as Sheena Jolie brings the newest adventure in the Beacon Hill Sorcerer series....

Angel Salvatore has been through one supernatural war, and it nearly took everything from him.

Over a decade later, the High Council of Sorcery is coming for Angel and all he holds dear—his found family and friends, and the city he calls home. His beloved mate Simeon at his side, Angel confronts ghosts from his family's past, and a reawakening of memories of the worst day of his life. Nothing and no one is safe as the High Council moves against Angel and his loved ones. New allies and old friends join Angel on his side of the brewing conflict, all preparing for the battles to come, while a new enemy comes to Boston, bringing ancient magic and monsters in his wake.

The rising potential of an international war is brewing in Boston, and the infamous necromancer of Beacon Hill will need all his allies, skills, and lessons learned to keep his mate, family, and his future safe.

I really liked this one. Great story including my fav characters. Awesome narration by Joel, per usual. But I don’t wanna wait for next book, I want it now

The council sure has piss Angel off.
Angel meets his ancestor Ignacio Salvatore, his vampire mate Ashwin and son Leo, the council is after them. Angel, Issac and Ignacio finally have it out why he didn’t help them, it’s explained well. The council wants Eroch, Leo and the sihde mound.
Angel, Simeon and the rest of their friends and family go to war with the high council. The head guy is a blood mage, which is everything decent mages are against.
I really enjoyed this book. I really love this series.

Joel once again did an excellent job narrating.

The council is really being difficult and messing with everyone and Angel is really cranky about it. The wee beasty isn’t so wee anymore and it’s awesome. Can’t wait for the next

I love this story

Trouble brews again in the magic world and the Beacon Hill gang must fight another battle in the march towards the expected final war. This series is always at its best when centering Angel and Simeon and this action-packed book returns them back to the fore, as they were in the excellent books 1 through 3. The sheer number of introduced characters now necessitate different chapters from different characters’ POV, but it works well. Angel’s need to protect those in his care continues to be the series’ moral center. The young dragon’s growth spurt traumas are priceless.

Exciting Return To Angel & Simeon
