Publisher's summary

In this middle-grade fantasy, perfect for fans of Nevermoor and The School for Good and Evil series, humor, heart, and a symphony of magic take center stage.

Amelia Jones has always dreamed of attending the Mystwick School of Musicraft, where the world’s most promising musicians learn to create musical magic. Unfortunately, Amelia botches her audition and her dream comes crashing down—until the school agrees to give her a second chance. Amelia vows to do whatever it takes to make her dream come true.

However, between a teacher who really dislikes her and a roommate who wants to see her expelled, Amelia has her hands full. On top of that, supernatural powers are threatening Mystwick, and Amelia might be the only person who can save the school…but only if she can remain true to herself. The combination of Jessica Khoury’s storytelling mastery, the highly-nuanced performance by award-winning narrator Suzy Jackson, and the songs, musical interludes, and original compositions included in this audio (all performed by the NJSO Youth Orchestras) makes it a treat for all fans of the fantasy genre.

"Toe-tapping fantasy mixes music and mystery."

Fun Book

I was pleasantly surprised at how well the author threw in some twists where when I was trying to predict what would happen, didn’t actually happen. It’s nice when I can find an author who can do that. Twists are what keep stories interesting. It’s there a book 2 for this because if their isn’t, it will leave you wondering what happens next. I’m on the hunt for book 2!

What a surprising book.

Judging by the cover l thought this book was aimed at young adults and teenagers. l am here to tell you that as a young at heart 50 plus aged woman l loved it. and would like to recommend it to any age as a good clean well written and brilliantly narrated, clever composed story. The music was unexpected and l thoroughly enjoyed it. Truly an anexpected treasure.

1 of the best stories I have ever heard 😍.

It is a very exciting book. The storyline had ups and downs which
makes you feel closer to the characters. I loved it! Thank you so very much Jessica Khoury. I cannot wait until the sequel. I also thank you Suzy Jackson for a long and beautiful narration.

Beautiful, fun, refreshing & profound all at once

This is one of the most beautiful stories I’ve ever listened to. Not only the story itself, but the voice actress and the music, it is truly magical. I’m a 28-year old woman so I’m pretty sure this book is for ALL ages, not just children. Highly recommend it ❤️
