When, during the celebratory dinner, a guest is struck down by what appears to be poison, every guest becomes a suspect. It's now up to Fleming to sift through the evidence and thereby unearth the truth and expose the lies.

Knew who the murderer was BUT STILL

loved the story as it is not just the whodunit that makes the story - adored Tilly & Alfie....

Good mystery

This is a good, clean, old fashioned mystery with interesting, complex characters. The end was definitely a surprise!

nothing like a cozy English

for me and my broken leg to be comfy in bed and listening to my favorite type of stories to keep my heart light and pass the time on a high note..even that I figured out the ending..I was happy with writing ..will listen to all his books 📚 until I heal

Another old fashioned who done it

Enjoyed this book as much as this author’s first. Well written with character and plot details. Short and sweet. I am looking forward to the third book.

Love this style

So I am a huge fan of Sherlock Holme and nothing can compare but there is something that resonates to with Detective Fleming that I look forward to listening/reading more! Also truly enjoy the narrator.

A lovely and believable read. Characters are realistic and the story flows nicely. All enjoyable.

Interesting, lighthearted, intelligent whodunit

This is part of an enjoyable mystery series with intriguing twists and turns. I liked the main characters and I hope future books continue to develop the main character. This was a cozy English historical murder mystery done right, with many cups of tea.

Great Plot! Marvelous Narrator!

I enjoy the character of Henry, the detective and really like the story. The author kept me wondering “whodunit!” I appreciate the excellence of the author who doesn’t need to stoop to “bedroom shenanigans” to get people to read his books. I want to hear more of these mysteries!!

So so mystery

Nothing special or exciting. Characters rather blah and ending with mustache twirling villain is a sigh

Average cozy mystery

The story is just ok. At first, I almost gave up I was so bored. As it was a short novel, i continued to listen. It turned out to be a little better towards the end. I have no desire to read another book in this series, however, it could be another readers cup of tea.
