Great mystery much improved by this narrator

Classic mystery introducing Hercule Poirot is well known to all mystery geeks, what makes this one better is its narration by a skilled voice actor.

The Mysterious Affair

I have never read an Agatha Christie book before.I found this to be very good!I did have an issue with the narration by Thomas Cardwell talking too fast.I know I missed some of what was said. His voices were great,he just spoke too fast.
I was given this book by the narrator, author or publisher free for an honest review.

A wonderful work..

Styles is both Agatha Christie's first published novel and Hercule Poirot's very first case. In my view, it is one of the most complex cases and it was a pleasure to listen to the audiobook. Also, the voice of the narrator drew me right into the story. Entertaining and thrilling. Recommended.

Agatha Christie and Hercule Poirot Shine

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

This is the first novel published by Agatha Christie and consequently the first novel featuring arguably her most famous character Hercule Poirot. Christie started off strong with a mystery surrounding a wealthy family, poison and a lot of intertwined relationships including red herrings. She weaves her tale and her characterization is strong while maintaining a Fair Play Whodunnit. I probably don't to sell you on Agatha Christie's strengths as a writer. There's a reason her works are adapted over and over.

The narration by Thomas Cardwell is fantastic - especially balancing multiple strong accents while keeping everything, understandable and keeping strong character voices.

It's a delightful way to pass a few hours.
