But while there are a few eyebrow-raising reveals, The Most Beautiful never falls prey to becoming tabloid fodder. Mayte Garcia presents her story, and it's impossible to listen to her tell it without feeling the genuine love and pain and (for better or worse, but mostly better) the profound effect Prince had on her life. Mayte is charming, genuine and sweet. She is also an amazing storyteller.

This story is not all about Prince, and that is ok. Mayte had a life before him. She was a dancer at the age of three and had already accomplished so much prior to meeting Prince. And when they did meet, their love was obvious. You get an inside look of what it was like to be in their world.

Reading about the loss of their child was hard. But she managed to speak about it with so much grace. My heart broke for her, and for Prince.

Overall, it's such an interesting read for any fan or Prince. Or anyone who just loves a great memoir.

I can see why Prince fell in love with her.

Her beautiful speaking voice, her emotions, she breaks down in parts and laughs in others it was like having her with you telling her story.

This book was well written and narrated.
I was impressed that Mayte took the high road and spoke lovingly towards Prince.
She successfully​ gave us her POV without putting Prince in a negitive light.
This book gave me the impression that Mayte is a good hearted person with a positive additude.
I have to wonder if these two had not had some of the circumstances​ surrounding them if they would have made it work?
I'm recommending this book to anyone who is a Prince fan.
I really enjoyed getting a peak in the very private artists life.
I hope Mayte continues to have a long and happy life.
And as for Prince..he may have the building but he will forever be in our hearts! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I meet Mayte at her book signing at Barnes and nobles and she was so warm and loving we had a great conversation. This is her life and she wriote it so beautifully and respectful. I was in total amazement. Great read great love story and Mayte is an amazing person also love her daughter Gia . Thank you for opening up to all of us and letting us in to your private world. Love and happiness always

I was too young to know Prince when he was coming up but my mother ALWAYS played his music when I was younger so I grew up with a strong appreciation for the man. In my teenage years I started diving into his career, music and love life. This book is so beautifully and tastefully written and captures the love she had/has for the man we call Prince! If you're looking for a cliche tell all, this is NOT the book for you! This book covers love, music, extreme loss, depression, suicide and best of all, hope. I was heavily engaged from the very first chapter. Absolutely beautiful!

I seen Prince in 1988 and it was my favorite concert ever. and I have a daughter named Mia. I love that you are a pet Lover too. thank you for saving so many beautiful animals too. God Bless you n Gia. that is what I first wanted to call my daughter Mia but my ex n my daughters said no. they liked Mia better. I bought a book before of Prince but it was more of just Photos. So glad this was my first you n Prince is a beautiful love Story that will never end. XOXOXO
