Publisher's Summary

Moql's mother is Folk, one of those tiny fairies who live hidden from mere mortals, and her father is human. Young patrons will empathize as this tiny changeling experiences the fear, sadness, and danger of not belonging. Set against the backdrop of a charming medieval setting, this award-winning audiobook addresses problems that are still, sadly, quite contemporary.

Childhood favorite, timeless classic?

i still have my tattered paperback copy of this book and read it many times growing up. this audiobook is the perfect companion! narrated so charmingly, im sure im going to listen again and again.

the story still warms my cold heart and makes me long to visit the moors of scotland and maybe catch a glimpse of a red cap darting behind a bush.

ugh its just so good i cant explain!!

Pure enchantment!!!!

I have the printed version of the wonderful book in my personal library. I have read it at least 5 times and count it among my favourites. Eloise McGraw really weaves a powerful story of the child, Moql, called Saaski in the human world, born half faerie or"Folk" half human, and her struggles to fit in either world. This book resonated with me immediately begining with the authors dedication: "To all children who have ever felt different;" and boy, was that ever me. I highly recommend this book.

Very satisfying

A perfect blend of emotion, intrigue, and adventure. The language takes a bit of getting used to, but it is entirely worth the learning curve.

Exceptional book with incredible imagry.

This is our second time listening to this book. All 6 of my children, including my 17 and 15 year old loved the thrilling tale. We felt like we had lost a friend when we finally finished because we missed the story, the well developed characters and the incredible pictures that the author created.
