But who will be the lucky man?

When her eye catches a glimpse of an old flame in a photograph, she’s sure it’s a sign. Mark Shepherd has always been in her thoughts – they’d been happy once, he’d adored her, but she’d made a mistake and let him get away. She won’t make the same mistake again….

So what if Mark is happily married with a family of his own?

All good things must come to an end…

I couldn’t really get into the story because the one character was so unlikable. Her child is going off to college and you think he died. It was ridiculous, totally overprotective and whiny and extremely annoying. If you can get past that, it’s women battling it out. As usual, the wife sticks up for the husband and wants to kill the mistress. I find that a common theme in these books. The men are never to blame. I only paid about two dollars for it and I wouldn’t have paid anymore.

Talk about an overprotective mother

I found the book kind of boring, and the voices were too similar. No exciting twists here.

The details sounded much better than the actual book.

Valerie Keogh's psychological thriller, “The Mistress,” comes alive through Rose Robinson and Julie Maisey’s captivating narration. This brilliant trio delivers another winner. Filled with unexpected twists and turns kept me hooked. Hannah Parker’s ruthless pursuit of desire and luxury is both fascinating and unsettling. Narrative perfectly captures the complexity of the characters, making this audiobook worth a credit. The shocker of an ending had me reeling! Never saw that coming. If you enjoy British thrillers with devious characters, you'll enjoy “The Mistress.” An awesome thank you to Valerie Keogh.
