Publisher's Summary

To be successful today, you don't need to have been born under a lucky star, with incredible wealth, with terrific contacts and connections, or even with special skills. But what you do need to succeed in any of your life goals is self-discipline.

In The Miracle of Self-Discipline: The "No-Excuses" Way to Getting Things Done, Nightingale-Conant all-time bestselling author Brian Tracy focuses on three major areas of your life-business and finance, family and relationships, and what Brian terms "the good life" - and shows you how to go from frustration to the life of your dreams faster than you ever thought possible, simply by developing and applying the life-changing quality of self-discipline.

Through these 21 "mini-sessions" (just 15 minutes each!) you'll learn how to finally:

  • Take complete control of your time (without this, you'll never achieve anything you want!).
  • Master your behavior in every area of your life (and watch your self-esteem skyrocket!).
  • Beat procrastination once and for all and take immediate action (one of the most crucial skills you'll ever learn!).
  • Defeat the negative emotions that destroy your dreams (and learn how to destroy the root cause of all unhappiness!).
  • Use the "10 goal" exercise to give your life laser-like focus!
  • Master the simple - yet incredibly effective - daily time management system that ensures you reach your dreams faster than you ever imagined!

Self-discipline is the one skill that's indispensable for a successful, happy life. Don't go another day without it - especially when Brian Tracy makes it so easy to achieve. Start experiencing The Miracle of Self-Discipline for yourself!

Same Info as No Excuses

Great info. Brian Tracy is incredible. The only caveat is that it's the same info as covered in the book No Excuses. I bought both thinking that they would compliment each other. But it's 95% the same.

This information can change your life

Mr Tracy has put out some fantastic stuff but this right here has struck a very deep chord in my life. Prioritizing or even just acknowledging the fact of your goals and how they affect what you are doing

Smart and to the point.

Very good presentation by Brian as always . Succinct and informative. Last chapter on audiobook was after he said 'thank you for listening ' in the previous chapter...confusing . Other then that classic BT.

One of Brian Tracy's Best

First off, it's not a "how to be self-disciplined," it's really about the "miraculous" benefits of being self-disciplined in numerous areas of life and ways that you can use self-discipline to improve these areas. Tracy re-uses much of the material he's used in his other books, with a slant toward self-discipline for each area. He covers each topic with just about the right amount of depth (he's written entire books on several of them, such as goal setting). At the end, there's a "bonus" chapter after he's wrapped up the program that gives additional pointers in a number of additional areas.

Finally, there's also a PDF downloadable workbook that provides what's essentially an outline of the program along with all of Tracy's recommended action exercises at the end of each chapter with places to write answers to questions and make additional notes. This is a valuable addition to an audio-only program since there's no book from which to work.

Overall, it's excellent content and a very good value for the credit.

Not Amazing

This book in essence has some good ideas but nothing revolutionary. It is basically good if you want someone to give you a kick up the bottom!

The music between chapter is unnecessary and pretty cheesy to be honest.

I think is book is catered more towards people in employment rather being self employed and talks about how to move up the career ladder. It doesn't talk alot/if at all about people who are or want to be self employed which is a bit of a disappointment for me. Also it talks about marriage being between a man and woman in one chapter which can come across as a bit dated.

No excuses by B Tracy

Useful. Insightful and above practical. This book will give you access to a whole plethora of ideas and techniques as a result of logical reasoning used by Mr Tracy and stories he uses to state examples. See if you can apply the stuff......and there is a lot of stuff to apply.

Self- awareness first, self- discipline next.

It took me 2- ish years to finish this after 3 attempts. I finally finished it after completing 'The Four Tendencies' By Gretchen Rubin. Having a better understanding of my behaviour patterns, it's strengths and blind spots made finishing this and finally implementing it easier.

Excellent practical advice read in an easy to follow manner

Concise, specific and articulate the book is comprehensive covering a huge variety of areas with things to learn from every single chapter.
A lot of substance and no fluff.
I find Brian Tracey extremely easy to listen to and follow and his vocal tone, pace and intonation is perfectly suited to this genre.
Very easy to recall the information, absolutely loved it and will definitely listen to more by this author.
