Forward-moving!

This short and concise book is (not only) inspiring and motivating, as many are, but it is a blueprint for the process! It really provided some building blocks for me... I have not really acquired this from any of the other (still wonderful) motivational books I have listened to. I will be sharing this profusely;)

Motivating but entry level information

I enjoyed the book as it combined various ideas from self help icons. The book felt like a modge podge of quotes and ideas from others that the author strung together. which can get the job done in motivating and reminding the listener. it was entry level information though. loved how quick it was and put the extra pep in my step.

I needed mental toughness to finish this...

The narrator was fine but his voice was very level and boring. If he would have been a little more fun to listen to, it could have done some favors for this awful book.
The book itself was a bit ridiculous. Skip this and go for mindfulness practices. He basically suggests to interview people who are who you want to be and asking them how they became that. lol. I mean...really?
He suggests positive thinking is going to make you mentally tough, that's not true because "positive thinking" can also be positive toxicity and lying to yourself. Mindfulness is learning to accept things for exactly what they are. No lying to yourself, just letting go of how you think it should be and accepting what is.
The author suggests many ways you can get the answers elsewhere than his own book, throws in some religious references and personal stories. Nothing concrete just junk. Like I said, just go with mindfulness practices and skip this.

Surprisingly progressive!

I came in expecting this to have a certain macho tone, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the author also emphasizes self care and tending to one’s mental health. Actionable advice, a solid read!

Quick & Practical but nothing revolutionary

Good read & almost a cliff notes of more in depth books on the subject but still practical & thorough.

A High Standard

This book is one of the best in regards to becoming mentally tough. It is up there Tim Grover's books, Winning and Relentless.

Straightforward and Practical Advice

The author has a great balance between his short bullet-points and his elaborations of them.

It’s similar to one of my favorite books, “Resilience” by Eric Greitens; main difference is conciseness of getting to the point.

Not just a guide

This book was a breath of fresh air at the right time, by which I mean it was beneficial and an effortless listen.

I find most motivational books these days are either heavy on story or heavy on mystical concepts. All tending to regurgitate the same information.

Regurgitation aside, the author indulged a few apocryphal stories, but the main focus was on practical steps and methods of achieving mental toughness.

Great read. Definitely recommended reading (listening).

Mental Great

A good book on mental toughness but mostly motivational, while the practical advice is fine it is mostly motivational and suggests that to build reall mental toughness you should employ physically practical methods rather than writing lists or visualisation alone.

Short but to the point, this book offers some sensible and actionable advice on improving mental toughness. Even having listened to other good books on the subject, I learned some new ideas.
