A quick and thorough guide with stories to help you feel connected to your craft

This was my third quick read of the day on how to write and keep the creative juices flowing. What was different about this book was the stories that framed each chapter and how that helped me connect to the ideas in the chapter. I had to pause several times to jot notes. I love a book that inspires my creativity and offers a framework to bring together what would otherwise be just a bunch of random ideas. Great book add to my list of books to replay when I feel stuck.

AI narration is terrible and distracting

Many parts were unlistenable because of the AI narration. Otherwise great quotes and insights. I learned from it when the narration wasn’t making g it difficult to listen to or even understand.

Virtual voice

Not a fan of virtual voice. Takes away from what the author says. Good info, bad delivery.

The AI Voice Narration is Awful

I bought this bc I’d listened to James Bell’s Great Courses course on fiction writing, and wanted to see what else he had to say. He has a very personable voice when he performs that course and does it well. I don’t know why he didn’t perform this one as well. The AI voice narration is *really* bad.
