I love the women's murder club stories, but this reader did not do it justice. she does not have the tones, inflections and accents down at all IMO

Very poor narration

Very poor narration. Differentiation of characters was very difficult. This ruined the book for me. I've listened & enjoyed all the other books in this series and was very disappointed with this one.

SIMPLY AWFUL-DON'T BOTHER!

Reader is the WORST. She reads as fast as she possibly can, as if there's a reward for finishing quickly. Therefore hard to follow! She also has a voice like a teenage bimbo, which is more suitable for a novel for teens, not a cop, suspense novel. Author (NOT James Patterson, but Maxine Paetro) portrays the 4 main characters, who are experienced professionals, as nothing more than immature sorority girls. They commit acts that no person in their profession would, such as the crime-beat reporter messing with crime-scene evidence. The plot is pretty simplistic, as far as I could read - the awful reader and poor characterizations just made me give up not even halfway through the book. DON'T BOTHER!

Horrific rip off

First let me start by saying I'm a great fan of the women's murder club I've listen to them all. That said I found this book or offensive, the actor make me feel like she was reading to a two-year-old. I was totally offended by paying full price for a three hour book. I've never known James Patterson to insult the readership by giving them so little and charging full price for it.

Disappointing

And I was disappointed in this particular women's club book. I felt that it lacks the intensity that others I had in the previous books. I believe the purpose of this book was to introduce possibly a new character to the women's murder club.

Just ok!

Kind of comical and read as silly! Love James Patterson but not my favorite! Maybe because it was audible an I usually read!

Disappointed

In my excitement at seeing a new Women's Murder Club book I neglected reading the details to see it was simply a short story - my bad.
Once I heard the storyline and the horrible narration I was pleased that it only lasted for a bit over two hours.
I will be more careful in the future when choosing my books.

bad

struggle to finish. didn't sound like a woman's murder club book. seems like James's Patterson name was on the book because they were his characters, but he didn't write the words.
