An awful lot like Thursday Murder Club!

This immediately reminded me of Richard Osman Thursday Murder Club books. This pales in comparison, unfortunately, but is still a fairly quick, enjoyable read. Very fluffy.

A “pleasant” mystery

Narrated well. Three main characters are engaging (for the most part). I listen primarily to British and Scottish mysteries which are heavy on procedural details. This is quite lightweight compared to those. The story is actually more complex (and longer) than a “cozy mystery”. But it is closer to a cozy than to the books I normally listen to. Overall a pleasant listen, and calm enough that if I turned it on before lying down, it would put me to sleep. I may get the next in the series as something to break up the intensity of my normal listens. Would be a great book for a road trip.

Charming

I can see this book being made into a movie if it already hasn't been. This is a fun murder mystery with a thrilling end. The writing does have a bit of a man hating tone though which is off putting.

Interesting, Easy, Great Narration

They made a tv show from this book and I somehow watched the first 5 minutes of it the day before I started this novel without intending to. Such a fun surprise when I listened to the first few chapters and how it matched to the small clip I had seen the day before lol! Absolutely loved the narrator in for this book also! Soooo good. Loved the characters.

Enjoyable- twists and characters

I enjoyed listening to this book, the characters are so well developed and the book is so well read that I didn’t wanna put it down.
It was engaging and the plot twist was fun.
