Possible Spoilers:
The story opens to the extravaganza of Smitty’s wedding with Jessie Ann and establishes how Mitch Shaw and Sissy Mae Smith have been partners in mischief and become good friends.
Mitch has been working for Mace and Smitty in NYC, but is due to go back to Philadelphia to testify in a murder trial against a mob boss. With a $2M bounty, it isn’t long before someone takes a shot at him and Sissy Mae takes him to TN to hide him in her hometown. Of course it takes them both a while to figure out that they’re attracted to each other, long after their mothers. Humor ensues in keeping a lion male fed, rebuilt classic cars, who wants to be an alpha, shifter football, witchy magic in the hills, and some surprising behind-the-scenes manipulation.
Kane again does a great job of narration.

I love this series and am thrilled that it is being released in audio..... Charlotte Kane does a great job with the narration.

The whole book is hilarious. I love the way the main characters banter never misses a beat. A great balance of drama, humor and romance.

Favorite of the series so far

This is my favorite of the Pride series so far. Two great main characters who have a witty rapport, small town location, family shenanigans, and an entertaining storyline make for a can’t miss combination. Narration, as with other books in this series, is top notch.

I loved the banter between these characters. I laughed out loud at some of the jokes. These two are purrfect for each other.

You can always count on Shelly Laurenston books to deliver a crazy, hilarious and sexy story that's just so ridiculous it leaves me with a big goofy grin on my face. I love it :D
