Narnia . . . a land frozen in eternal winter . . . a country waiting to be set free

Witness the creation of a magical land in The Magician's Nephew, the first title in C. S. Lewis's classic fantasy series, which has captivated readers of all ages for over sixty years.

On a daring quest to save a life, two friends are hurled into another world, where an evil sorceress seeks to enslave them. But then the lion Aslan's song weaves itself into the fabric of a new land, a land that will be known as Narnia. And in Narnia, all things are possible.

This is a stand-alone novel, but if you want to journey back to Narnia, check out The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, the second book in The Chronicles of Narnia.

It is so great to listen classic books by audible system. It helps me to understand better. As a bilingual, I myself need to improve listening and speaking skills. The narrator articulates to read it as a voice actor. I would like to strongly recommand this book to everyone like me!

I’m so glad I noticed that the Lion. Witch and the Wardrobe was not the first book in the series, but the second. So I started with the Magician’s Nephew. I’m so glad I did. It is a perfect beginning. I loved it. I read along on my Kindle where I bought the whole series of 7 books. Even though these books seem to be directed to children, anyone who loves a bit of fantasy will love these books. Even if you just read this as a stand alone, it will be worth your time.

This wonderful classic is better every time I read/hear it. Whenever I have set about to read the whole series, I hardly ever make it to this one. l decided instead to start here this time and l am ever so glad I did.
