Enter a world of dragon politics and missing librarians – in 1920s New York City. Immerse yourself in The Lost Plot, the fourth gripping instalment in the Invisible Library series from Genevieve Cogman.

A covert mission. A royal demand. And a race against time.

In a 1920s-style America, Prohibition is in force, fedoras and flapper dresses are in fashion – and intrepid librarians Irene and Kai find themselves caught in a fierce dragon duel.

A demanding queen has ordered her heirs to find a rare book, and it seems a young librarian has become tangled in the conflict. If Irene and Kai can't extricate him, there could be grave political fallout for the library. This could even trigger war.

Irene and Kai's quest: to outsmart gangsters, evade security, rescue the librarian and retrieve the book. If they can't, it could have dire consequences for Irene's job. And, incidentally, for her life . . .

Continue the literary magic with The Mortal Word, the next step in this enchanting historical fantasy.

Praise for the series:

'I absolutely loved this' – N. K. Jemisin, author of The Fifth Season

'Irene is a great heroine: fiery, resourceful and no one's fool' – The Guardian

'Cogman keeps upping the ante on this delightful series!' – Charles Stross, author of the Merchant Princes series

Reseñas de la Crítica

I absolutely loved this . . . flavoured with truly unique mythology and a dash of the eldritch (N. K. Jemisin on The Invisible Library)
Reminiscent of the works of Diana Wynne Jones . . . Cogman’s novel is a true treat (Publishers Weekly on The Invisible Library)
Very much in the humorous and satirical tradition of Discworld (The Guardian on The Masked City)
Part spy mystery, part steampunk fantasy, The Masked City is a joy to read and Cogman makes it look effortless (SciFiNow on The Masked City)
Brilliant and so much fun. Skulduggery, Librarians, and Dragons - Cogman keeps upping the ante on this delightful series! (Charles Stross on The Burning Page)
A fun, adventure-filled romp . . . magic, adventure, Sherlock Holmes (SFF World on The Burning Page)

We get to know more about dragons in this one. Very interesting characters. Exciting piece of the storyline.

Lots of Dragon

Great addition to the Invisible library. That said Irene's reveal at the end in a bit long. Also there is a disappointing plot development though it has been foreshadowed.

another great story

Very few narrators can do both sexes well. Fewer still can do that AND cultural accents. She does a phenomenal job! I always enjoy listening to books narrated by Kristin Atherton

love this narrator!
