Great first book in a series

Really enjoyed the world building and ending in this can’t wait for book 2! It felt different that other books I’ve read recently. Most of the book is slower paced which is normal in a book 1.

Fantastic Writing, original story

This was a beautiful story, and I can’t wait to read the next book! The narration was also very realistic and kept me inside the world.

What do I do with my life now????

I NEED BOOK 2!! I NEED IT NOW!!!! Oh my gosh this book is EVERYTHING. And I want to live in this library!!

Great Narration and Great Story!

I really enjoyed this one! I went into this one blind and I was not disappointed! I'm also so glad I decided to do this one on audio because the narrators did a fantastic job bringing the characters and the story to life!

I absolutely loved the spy, Kasira, and especially loved the broody Librarian, Alaster. I enjoyed watching their relationship grow throughout the book as they learn if they can trust each other. This story had me so invested that I was constantly turning the pages to find out what was going to happen next. Would Kasira dethrone Alaster? Would Alaster uncover Kasira's truth? What was Alaster hiding? I'm telling you, I was staying up late reading this one.

I do want to mention, if you are looking for romance, this book has it but it is very very minimal. And I mean verrryyyy minimal. With that being said, the main plot and storyline was SO good that the romance aspect wasn't even needed or missed in my opinion. (But still nice that it was there and loved what little bit there was!)

Other things I also loved were the side characters, the beasts, how the author's writing made it so easy to visualize the world, and how the storyline kept me so invested that I struggled to put the book down because I wanted to keep reading!

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be reading the next one! I just have a feeling that the second book will be even better and I can't wait!!
