Publisher's Summary

Neville Goddard (1905-1972) was one of the most extraordinary and ardently practical spiritual thinkers of the past century. Writing and lecturing under the solitary name Neville, this modern mystic enthralled audiences with one simple, radical idea: the human imagination is God. Whatever you think and feel, Neville taught, you literally out-picture in your world.

Here is a new narration of Neville's final full-length book, The Law and the Promise, originally published in 1961. This is the mystic at the peak of his abilities, providing ideas and examples of how everyday people succeeded using his methods. Narrated and introduced by historian Mitch Horowitz (Occult America, One Simple Idea), this volume will inspire you to attain your highest potential.

Love

I love Neville’s thinking. It’s about believing in your sole source. It’s about knowing your true self. Listening and hearing the voice within. You are God.

Interesting, but not theologically sound.

I thought the stories were interesting, but the biblical references and interpretations were painfully off. They were often grossly out of context and misrepresented.

I did not know he believes God is imaginative

What disappointed you about The Law and the Promise?

He believes that God exists in our imagination. Quotes from the Bible to support his imaginative claims.

Any additional comments?

I would never of bought if I new he twisted the Bible's the way he did.

The Abstract is too Abstract

This book answers the question thoroughly : what is creative imagination? and how to apply the process. It does an excellent job of this. It gives great examples which help to define specifically the extensive possibilities and techniques. I always get wary when I buy a book on the powers of the mind and it starts talking about the Bible with reference to scriptures. The author does very well however in tying these together. The last few pages however, where he starts talking about his symbolic visions were incredibly boring, I couldn't wait for it to end. Maybe I am not at the level where I can appreciate what he is talking about. This section is as abstract as the Book of Revelation which nobody as of yet has been able to correctly interpret into everyday language. I would be careful in buying any more of the authors books to scrutinize it and and make sure that all of it is in plain English.
