Publisher's Summary

Discover number-one New York Times best-selling author David Bach’s three secrets to financial freedom in an engaging story that will show you that you are richer than you think. Drawing on the author’s experiences teaching millions of people around the world to live a rich life, this fast, easy listen reveals how anyone - from millennials to Baby Boomers - can still make his or her dreams come true.

In this compelling, heartwarming parable, Bach and his best-selling coauthor John David Mann (The Go-Giver) tell the story of Zoey, a 20-something woman living and working in New York City. Like many young professionals, Zoey is struggling to make ends meet under a growing burden of credit card and student loan debt, working crazy hours at her dream job but still not earning enough to provide a comfortable financial cushion. At her boss’ suggestion, she makes friends with Henry, the elderly barista at her favorite Brooklyn coffee shop.

Henry soon reveals his “Three Secrets to Financial Freedom”, ideas Zoey dismisses at first but whose true power she ultimately comes to appreciate. Over the course of a single week, Zoey discovers she already earns enough to secure her financial future and realize her truest dreams - all she has to do is make a few easy shifts in her everyday routine.

The Latte Factor demystifies the secrets to achieving financial freedom, inspiring listeners to realize it’s never too late to reach for your dreams. By following the simple, proven path that Henry shows Zoey, anyone can make small changes today that will have big impact for a lifetime, proving once again that “David Bach is the financial expert to listen to when you’re intimidated by your finances” (Tony Robbins, number-one New York Times best-selling author of Money: Master the Game).

I love this book!

This book takes my favorite chapter in The Automatic Millionaire and delivers sound financial principals in an easy to read, easy to listen to story. You don’t have to give up coffee. It’s a metaphor. Small changes in the way you spend your money can give you financial freedom. The earlier you start the greater the benefit of time and compounding interest. Financial freedom is not being taught as public school curriculum so as you learn teach your children.

You are Richer Than You Think

The Latte Factor is an amazingly thoughtful new book from one of my favorite financial authors (David Bach). The book is actually a very short novel and it only takes a couple of hours to read it. David Bach's books changed my life and I know that you will gain some knowledge from the book to help you on your life journey.

The book told me that I should return it

After reading this, I think my subscription to Audible is my latte and I should probably cancel it! All in all, this is a very short read and priced higher than necessary. Thankfully, I purchased it on sale. The story is super relative to anyone who earns a paycheck and the characters are semi-realistic. I appreciate the narrative for this type of life lesson and will most likely read more Bach books thanks to the interview at the end of the book.

Wow, and not in a good way. (Audible version)

I try to be careful picking books, and I almost never return a book. I think this is the second in 5 years that I've returned. I just couldn't keep listening. It was boring ,so very, very boring. I listen to books on my commute, and this was entirely too soporific. The combination of the narrator's monotone and the lackluster parable about an educated young professional woman who needs a smart older man to explain everything to her was terrible. I increased the speed because that often helps, but not in this case. I have read David Bach in the past, and have recommended a couple of his books to friends and family, but this one I'm sorry to say is not one I would recommend to anyone.

Simple and yet, profound!

I highly reccomend to all people, but especially young people. There is only one thing I would disagree on and that is setting up a 401k plan. Instead, set up a Roth IRA and pay your taxes first and then all the profits are tax-free. Why would you pay taxes on your harvest (401k plan) when you could just pay it on the seeds (Roth IRA)?

Long overdue but just in time.

I loved this book and especially loved the audible reader. I felt part of her story. I think the budget theory has thrown a lot of people off course and the way you addressed it was brilliant and doable. I liked how you addressed the objections that a young person would have about being young and saving. I believe it will resonate with them. We shall see....I’ll be sharing this with my 3 millennials with hopes that they will not have to live with some of the financial regrets their mother has. Well done and especially thank you for the reminder that no matter the age, math is math, it’s never too late.

Fantastic message... with some added speed!

A MUST READ FOR ALL WOMEN who want to be part of the revolution we need to create in order for women to be financially secure throughout our lives.

I found the narration too slow at first, but when I sped it up to 1.25 speed it was perfect and her voice was very engaging.
