Mediocre

Mediocre information, but helpful if you are new to planning for your retirement. If you don't need a cheerleader, you would be better off reading one of J.L. Collins books: A Simple Path to Wealth, or Pathfinders. Ideas in The Automatic Millionaire are not bad, but not original and I personally find hard to listen to due to the author/narrator having a very over-the-top, used car salesman/motivational speaker approach to narration. I find this very distracting from the key points. Take out the fluff and the ideas would be conveyed in 1/3 the time or less and more palatable. Would love to have the last chapter removed as well, which amounts to the author basically patting himself on the back with glorifying testimonials. Not needed, the content should be able to speak for itself without a bunch of hype.

And it’s so true how said it’s simple to find 10% to 15% to put away for retirement. The thing is that we do waste our money on such junk and stuff that we don’t need.
