Publisher's summary

Ensign Moore climbed back up in his seat. “Emergency power and life support functioning. We are not holding orbit, Sir.”

The captain looked out the broken windscreen. Force fields prevented them from getting sucked out into deep space. Trajous loomed larger every minute.

“Who shot my ship? I want a return volley before we crash.”

“No bogeys in the area, Captain. We’re the only ones out here. Impact in 35 seconds."

The captain strapped himself to a chair. Everyone around him had done likewise.

So this is how it all ends, crashing on a rock in the middle of nowhere? Merken gritted his teeth. His once-promising career was already in tatters. Now he was going to die.

“Firing thrusters."

Needs more Depth

Fun book, but there was a lot going on. It jumped around a good bit, and it was hard to follow at times. While the narration was good, and the story fun, I think it needed to slow down a bit and do more story and character development to really turn this into a stronger book. Overall a fun adventure, but it could have been so much more.

The fallout of civil war

when the fate of an empire falls to 4 bickering brothers scores will be settled and enemies will come out of the shadows. Politics mixes with combat in a story that is part Machiavelli and part Top Gun.

Better than the first

The second book in the Galactic War Series is better than the first. Most of the story revolves around the preceding battle between the Princes after the assassination of the Emperor.

The book ends with an epic battle of a space station orbiting a nebula.
