Publisher's summary

At the peak of her career as lead singer of a legendary 1980s indie band, Meredith Vincent was driven off the international stage by a horrific incident. Now living a quiet existence in a cottage on the grounds of an old stately home, she has put her past behind her and come to terms with her new life.

When a body is found in the manicured gardens of her home, and a series of inexplicable and unsettling events begin to occur, it becomes clear that someone is watching, someone who knows who she is…. Someone who wants vengeance.

Epic, I say, EPIC! Love my British books!

For those who enjoy a suspense and mystery, this one is for you. A well-crafted thriller within many questions... that will be answered... in time. Jumping back and forth in time was a welcome theme, one that I truly enjoy, wrapping up everything with a big red bow at the end. Two favorites of mine, author Louise Voss and narrator Simon Mattacks work together well and I thank them for this excellent mystery. After having a streak of bad audiobook choices on my part, I listened with anticipation and thoroughly enjoyed every chapter. No disappointments here. Highly recommended. Worth a treasured credit. You won’t be sorry.

Great mystery!

I can usually figure out a good portion of the conclusion of a mystery, but this one had me stumped! I loved the settings described in this book. I could picture vividly the cottage and rest of the estate. The main character made me shake my head a few times at her choices, but it's fiction. My one negative is this: when the villain was revealed, I kind of thought that the crimes didn't warrant the response of the villain. I guess if one is nuts, though, anything can happen. Simon Mattacks is a brilliant narrator. I do recommend this one!
