Fun read

Main character is a bit whiny and self absorbed. Didn’t love end - it should have tied in to the main character.

The book was wonderful and had me enthralled all the way through! A perfect mystery novel with all kinds of great twists and turns!

Fresh perspective on the female driven thriller…

I’ve been a fan of all of Andrea Bartz’s female-driven thrillers, especially this one, We were never here, and The Lost Night. There’s some amazing dramatic water scenes, Burning Man type characters, and pretty much every character you meet could be a suspect which is fun. This is the first time I’ve ever read a thriller that has queer female leads and it’s refreshing to get a new perspective and also leads to some really interesting tension with the families of the characters in the story. I wonder if she’s dating a Hungarian woman irl because she has so many interesting specifics with her Hungarian character. It’s also fun cause they have multiple narrators which makes you wonder if one of them is doing a fake accent around the others and adds to the drama. As a straight lady I still felt like I was able to identify with the lead characters. I don’t want to give anything away but give it the first chapter and you will absolutely be sucked into this story, and DONT SKIP THE EPILOGUE…

What a surprise ending! A great read, well written and will look for more of this author's books.
