Fantastic plot, fantastic characters!

I have enjoyed the whole series thoroughly. Loved the reading. And am sad that we have to wait to hear what is going to happen next. I am heavily invested. So much so, that i could not watch the film yet. I am scared it would spoil the reading for me. Can’t wait for the next book.

The best in the series

A retiree myself, I have found the Thursday Murder Club books satisfying and rewarding. I eagerly await each new one and have not been disappointed. This one however has a depth and poignancy I wasn’t expecting but thoroughly appreciated. I never cry when I watch a movie or read a book but I did listening to this one. Both the writing and the performance were magnificent.

Great narration, wonderful dialogue and intriguing storyline. Love the characters. This book made me think.

I just love it

Live it, love it, love it! All characters are so vivid and consistent that I feel as they are real. I truly believe Coopers chase could be visited and the gang will be there :) This is not a classic crime book as the stories are always very naive, but you want to go around after Elizabeth and Joyce and just live in their world for a while.

Delightful

Richard Osman wove his magic superbly once again. From the delightfully authentic characters which regularly had me chuckling, to the rapidly increasing body count, I was hooked. Thank you, Richard!

Love the sinners and devils alike

Mr Osman had me gripped again with the twists and turns and even when I try to anticipate the who-dunnit, I am wrong! Love being out danced and captivated by this wonderful group of pensioners. Love the philosophy, the heart and the awareness of the fragility of life.

Each book in the series is better than the last

I love these series of books. I look forward to catching up with the characters and following them in their adventures. This book is the best yet, and the narration is wonderful, as always. Can’t wait for book 5 next year.

Loved the story, not so much the narrator

The narrator annoyed me, the one on the other titles was great.The story's entertaining, ll listen to next one and hope the narrator is better. Anyway, the story is fun and some of the characters are very entertaining

Another smashing hit!!!

What a knock-out!! Richard Osman never seizes to amaze me, keep me engaged and wanting more!!! The BEST book series to come along in a very very long time. Quite possibly since Harry Potter! I'm waiting on the film series for Thursday Murder Club to come next. I'm sure it will! This book had a bit more pathos in it. (I won't give spoilers!) but I cried more reading/listening to this book than I did the others. Joyce continues to win my heart over and over again and hers and Elizabeth's friendship really deepen in this book as do all the relationships.

Fiona Shaw is FABULOUS! I got quite attached to Leslie Manville with the first two books, but Fiona is an obvious transition as narrator! She's incredible and continues to pull you in every step of the way. I really love reading along with the audiobook. It helps you stay engaged and feels like you're IN the world of these character. That's a testament not only to Richard Osman, but certainly Fiona too. All in all, this book is fantastic and I highly recommend it to YOU and YOU and YOU and YOU!
