Where do our dead dreams go

As we grow up we dream of achieving many things. We dream of solving huge problems that are beyond our means, we dream of various jobs that we loose interest of, we dream of places we want to go and see. Then as we grow we abandon those dreams but what happens to those dreams. In this middle grade adventure they live on in another world and they just wait to be rediscovered again. The whole book was full of adventure and excitement as you are enchanted by the two siblings as they try to help their dad find his unlived dream. If your looking for an interesting clean middle grade to entertain yourself or children you know this is the perfect book for a nice long car ride.

Highly Recommended for Youth and Young At Heart

“Unlived Dreams” Doesn’t it sound more dismal snd hopeless than Lost dreams? But it fits. The dreams we’ve had and traded in, traded up, or given up. But they live on in this book - in another world.

I adored Soji and her brother. I liked their relationship and how it grew.

I found some discrepancies - like if she lost the coins in this world, how did she have them again? I’d never heard of the villain at the final reveal.

But the most flawed in the book are the telling and not showing and using passive descriptions and verbs. I think even our youth deserve more.

I won’t even harp on “Jane didn’t ‘miss a beat’ “.

Otherwise, the story building, plot, and characters were fun, courageous (not in a superhuman way) and exhibited team work.

I would definitely recommend this book to others and would eagerly listen to more from this author.

I totally LOVE this!

This book was given to me at my request. I am providing a voluntary review:

This book was sooo wonderfully amazing. When I asked for this book, I didn't realize that it was a kids book. When I realized this, I didn't think I would like it but I gave it a try anyway. I am so happy I did. This book was full of adventure and excitement from the first chapter to the last. Also, I loved the narrator. She did an excellent job. I loved the voice she used for Soji. She was so cute.

This book wasn't for me

I was given this book for free to listen to and review, at my request. The blurb caught my attention, and I enjoy listening to children's books as they are typically interesting and clean.
I tried to listen to this book several times, and couldn't get through it. The narrator was slow, and hard to listen to. The story had a slow, sad beginning. It really dragged, so I turned it off and tried to go back to it. I played it for my teen, who generally enjoys listening to books with me, and he didn't like the narrator either. I didn't find the characters to be interesting or engaging, I didn't find the story to be the adventure I was expecting. I felt like it was written in the style for a very young audience, although it was advertised for middle grades.
