In The Land: Predators, the Mist Village has harnessed its power. With core buildings, professional fighters, and now their own dungeon, the settlement is primed to grow into a kingdom of true power and magic. The path to power has not been without risk, however. The MistVillage has been noticed. Evil nobles from the Kingdom of Law, bloodthirsty goblins from the Serrated Mountains, an undead lord with a penchant for human sacrifice, and fanatical kobolds from the Depths all plot the village's destruction.

It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. A man. His ex-girlfriend's cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible. In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth - from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds - collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground. The buildings and all the people inside have all been atomized and transformed into the dungeon: an 18-level labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and loot.

Publisher's Summary
Dr. Aleron Kong is the father of American LitRPG. Join him in his best-selling LitRPG saga, The Land. The journey of terrifying adventures, dangerous enemies, and heart-stopping wonder continues here.
"This is the world you were meant to fight for!"
Welcome to the sixth vivacious installment of Aleron Kong's Chaos Seeds series.
The time of hiding has passed. The Mist Village will make itself known. Goblins have invaded Richter’s lands. Though the first incursion has been defeated, the anger of Chaos Seed remains. Those who challenge Richter’s power will learn there is a reason all creatures fear the mist.... It is the home of monsters.
For the first time, Richter takes the battle to his enemies. He will live up to his name, and the very Land will shake with this power. With his allies, the wood sprites of Nadria, the army of the Mist Village marches to war. Richter has been a healer, an enchanter, a dungeon diver, and a killer. Now he becomes something more. He becomes a raider!
This is a world of wonder and horror. This is a world of pain and joy. This is the world of monsters...and the brave men who battle them. Welcome back my friends!
Welcome back...to the Land!

Very disappointed in Aleron Kong
This series started out so great and fairly clean. Book 6, on the other hand, has more F-Words then the other 5 books combined and has some VERY graphic scenes many of which don't feel "needed". I have been loving this series but it is clear to me that the author is feeling invincible and thinks he can write whatever he wants and not get called out on it. I would NEVER recommend this book to anyone who thinks their child under 18 would hear it. I would think after his scandal of review fixing he would have written a book that could actually be enjoyed by many instead of limiting his audience to adults.

Consider carefully
Disappointed in series. Story severely lacking. Bells, whistles, horns, announcements ate up most of the books with very little time devoted to story. I skipped chapters and did not miss a thing other than announcements of awards and such that I'd never remember and will not be put to use. Lots of profanity that increases the further one gets in the series. Abundant debauchery. . The "hero" totally satisfied partners. Lots of description of the awesomeness of body parts,. Women were strongly objectified. I quit listening the last in the series and bought another book that had a good story which captured my interested and kept my attention.

I kept listening hoping the series would get better. It got worse
The character is entirely too full of himself. The author uses the term chaos seed so often that it completely destroys the listen. The MC is selfish entitled and arrogant to the point I can’t do it any longer. This is garbage RPG and the author is not the father of anything in this genre.

This got weird
The constant churning between "hype millenial" and "dark and brooding martyr" in dialogue is jarring. The MC just won't stop being edgy, and I like the side characters way more now. They seem to make more sense than the constant disproportionate mood swings between dark and vengeful for Richter's people to making constant jokes/references.

great story great performance amazing mechanics
this is one of the best of the series. The mechanics of the Land expand significantly in this book and add to the interest. The narration has enthusiasm though as a Brit the pronunciation of some words rankles. Basil and herb are two words Nick has trouble with. or do all Americans pronounce 'herb' as 'erb' ? there are also genuine dilemmas in this book, and some great characters.

Jeff Hayes is amazing, aleron Kong is dishonest
if you use fakespot.com on any of aleron Kong's books on Amazon you can clearly see that aleron kong or people he employs are artificially inflating his 5 star reviews as well as using slur campaigns and attacks coordinated to silence critics and vote that more honest reviews are unhelpful, so whilst I somewhat enjoyed this series, I'm now forced to give it an abysmal review to both reflect my disappointment in Aleron Kong at his dishonest and bad faith business practices, as well as do my small part in counteracting his devoted legion of monkeys (and perhaps even boys) that are employed and coordinated via his Facebook page amongst other means. If you think I am making this up then you are a sheep, as a few good Google searches, Reddit or fakespot.com make the truth visible if you bother searching.
For my actual rating, the story is a solid 3/5, the author has very little talent towards writing, but makes up for that with incredibly detailed world building. The performance by Jeff Hayes smooths over many of the authors flaws in writing style and he deserves 5/5 for giving the performance life even where the books were lacking. I enjoyed the books 4.5/5, but I truly love fantasy and litrpg both, and would objectively only give the story an honest rating of 3/5. All that being said though, my rating of the author would be 1/5 or lower, due to his arrogance, pride and dishonesty. Not to mention the number of deadlines he has missed just for the release of book8, but that's neither here nor there when compared to how he dishonestly manipulates ratings and reviews for profit and fame. Shame on you Aleron Kong, I may enjoy your books, but I'm only 1 step away from boycotting your future works!
TLDR: I really enjoyed the series, but objectively it's very average and the author has been shown to be heavily manipulating his ratings and reviews... Now watch as his team of worker monkeys bury this unbiased, critical review in with "unhelpful" markers... please vote helpful if you found this to be informative

Wicked
This series is addictive. An absolutely wicked take on the LitRPG genre. Highly recommend.
Originally I was apprehensive about the short duration/ high volume of books, but the quality of this series is 10/10

THIS IS THE BEST BOOK EVER
Out of all the books I’ve read this is by far the best you need to make more books or turn this into a game or movie!

boring
seems like a half-assed description of a game with little consistency, character or creativity. The pop culture references are just cheesy and poorly inserted. there is nothing clever about this book. I didn't laugh once through the whole series. only continuing because i listened to the first 3 as background noise. vice acting isn't bad at least.

Best book in the series so far!
With each successive book in this series I've been drawn further and further into the expanding story of The Land and have been loving it.
The voice acting was enjoyable, characters entertaining, and story has me hungry to find out what happens next.
I think I'll just be off to go and get that next book now... ;)

Just like a game
I love that it sounds just like the crazy games I used to play in D&D. Brings back memories and I love it!
