Just fun

If you made it past the first book or any of her other books you realize that it just a fun read. Some time I am all “what?!” In a valley girl voice. This book makes me laugh because it’s both ridiculous and entertaining. I give it a 👍🏻👍🏻

good story

I think this is a really book, the only thing I found wrong was that the characters voices would change here and there, but it's nothing really serious.

A wonderful humorous story!

I cannot count the number of times that I broke out laughing while reading this story! It is a wonderful story and very humorous! The plot line is very simplistic and scattered a bit.

A very fun listen

I've listened to 3 books by Virlyce and all of them narrated by Mare Trevathan. Mare does a really great job conveying the characters comedic personalities. Hopefully another one is on the way!

My favorite

Truly one of my favorite by Virlyce. I’ve read all other books but none are as amazing as this. I highly recommend this book to anyone who love fantasy who is looking for a change. The humor is godly and the story telling is great! Love these characters and love this story!

There needs to be a 3rd book so bad

there has to be a 3rd book they built the main character up so much I would love to see it happen like he goes to west to find his mother and father and they were attacked by 3 crimson dragons and his mother died saving his father and it would be a hard fought battle that even as strong as vur is he still cant do it by his self you know something like that

The miscellaneous adventures of Ver and Toffel

The sequel to "the blue mage raised by dragons" is a well written BOOK but it felt like it was missing a major story. I felt that this book was too heavily focused on character development and as if the story was written with a to do list.

arrive at new continent. get lost. hire a guide. join a tournament. get separated. ect ect.

comedy and character development was the strongest part of this book, we saw new desires from old characters and new faces that brought more depth to the story. With that said, I do believe that Virlyce has a talent for creating worlds and characters that are easy to envision and understand.

if I were to change the story... I would make the dwarves a far more menacing group/the main antagonists. The book focuses heavily on treating the dwarves as if they're a strong and intelligent group. At time it's stated that the dwarves are strong enough to fight against a dragon. Yet whenever the main characters come into contact with ANY dwarves, they're beaten without a sweat and simply accept defeat when they could be treated like a threat.

overall I did enjoy this book and would still recommend it to those that enjoy comedy and fantasy based books.
