The EMP throws a wrench in the works and leaves her unprepared for the chaos to follow. With the city falling down around her ears, she is pushed to the limit. Her suburban home is well-stocked with supplies, but she clings to the hope that order will be restored.

Faced with the darker side of humanity, will she overcome her inhibitions and do whatever it takes to protect her family?

Great Story

I loved the story and all the details but I wasn't fond of the parts when the reader work read the female parts. Sounded really off.

narrator character voices were not that great. many sounded the same.
book jumps ahead slot with not much explanation.

Great Read loved it.

A great Read with characters that were easy to assimalate with and keep you hanging on wanting to know what was next.

Couldn’t get past 10 min of this guys voice

Seems like a good story but this narrator is horrible. I couldn’t take it anymore after 10 min

This was a great story of a man’s determination to get to his family, and the friendship he made along the way. Can’t wait to hear more ‼️

Makes me think

I stumbled upon this book and I’m glad I did. This kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Makes you think though

Great story showing the struggles of a father away on business and a mother stuck at home with their two young boys and their journey to come to grips with a shattered world.

Don't Go In The Basement!

You know when you are watching a scary movie and the stupid teenager goes into the basement and you shout at the tv, "Don't go in the basement." or "Look out behind you." That is how this entire story was for me. The characters seemed to stupid to have survived. Only two characters deserved to live through the crisis. I will not listen to the remaining books in the series.

Having said that, there were lessons to be learned. A listener who is new to the genre might learn a few things.

Likeable EMP family story

I needed a break from the usual gritty apocalypse books. This was a feel good, relaxing read.
Sure, it's not entirely realistic, but it was what i needed. Moving on to Book 2.

I couldn't put it down!

I can't wait to start the next book. I love the non-stop action and I can't wait to see where this adventure takes Jack and his family!
