Great Story & Narration

THE GUILTY
Secrets abound of what happened to Sarah at 2 am, did she really slip on the ice outside the mansion home, and yet fiancé didn’t call 911. She’s been in a coma, the father thinks she was pushed, and wants answers. The Keeper as he goes by, soon finds, that he has two sides working against him, and neither really want the truth, and he wonders why. With the help of. Blood, he gets them. Can be read alone, good edge, to this mystery.

Fast Paced, it has it all the old recipe for a great plot, greed, revenge, meeting someone on line, in his area then getting ripped off. The man comes to Jack, and Jack wanting to get the 9 grand back for him.
It leads him to Arbor Hill and a femme fatale, that could led him into trouble. The plot came alive with the audio read by.Andrew.Werhlen.
SINS OF THE SONS
Marconi, trying to find solace in his whiskey, after Val left. When Jim came to see him, one of the three amigo from high school, and one has now died, Marconi adds, and the past has now come back to haunt you. Steve has found religion, and now wants to go forward and tell what happened. The Three was involved in an incident that turned badly when in high school. Marty Finnegan said to have died of heart attack. Publicity would ruin him, his wife and children as well as Steve’s. If it became known what part they played. Jim wants Marconi to go see Steve and persuade him to keep quiet. This was just. the beginning,there was more players, a more bitter vendetta in play. How Marconi handles this plot, is full of twists and turns. Readers will be glad they read.

Standard Zandri quality, good stuff as usual. I like how it ties into some of his other stuff.

Fun listen

I have now listened to a number of Vincent Zandri's books, with main characters of Jack Marconi, Sam Savage, Dick Moonlight, and Steve Jobz. I have enjoyed them all (I guess that makes sense, since I keep looking for more books by Zandri). But one thing that I keep wondering is why have multiple series, all set in the same location (except for Sam Savage who is a sky marshal so can be located anywhere), and all with similar characters (I am having a hard time thinking of something that really distinguishes one from the other, and struggling to think of anything). On the bright side...if you like one of the books, you will likely enjoy all of them.

For the stories in this box set, I liked the last two best, and I just had a hard time getting into The Guilty until near the end of the story. They all had good twists, plenty of adventure, and enjoyable characters (I think Blood is my favorite).

I would say that, if you like stories with a main character who is an alpha male, hard drinker, handsome, and popular with the ladies, you won't go wrong with any of Zandri's books.

Good Read

The Jack Marconi PI Box Set: A Gripping Jack Marconi PI Thriller (PI Jack Marconi Book 9) was a good read by Vincent Zandri. This box set consisted of three full length books;The Guilty, Arbor Hill, and The Sins of the Sons. I enjoyed reading these books that followed Jack Marconi and his investigations. I can't wait to read more by the author.

Twisty mystery

It’s a good action mystery. Good plot. Good narration. I even liked the main character... except that every once in awhile he’d do/think something so crass it made me cringe and want to turn it off. I get that he’s supposedly a flirt and a lady’s man with a tragic past... but wow. Who talks about the “secretary” and her underwear to the woman’s boss at a first meeting? I listened to the full first book because of the plot. But I’ll have to come back for the rest.

Fantastic intriguing thrillers with making you wanting more. I really enjoyed this audiobook and highly recommend. Narrator did a fantastic job also.
