Great Story

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. SA Cosby has a way of drawing you in. I love how he develops the story in the greater Hampton Roads area.

Complex characters not just cardboard cutouts

Great debut not terribly too convoluted so you can follow and guess. We were impressed with strong women characters as well.

Nathan Waymaker Is A Cosby’s Answer To Burke’s Robicheaux

I loved this novel. After I finished all of James Lee Burke’s Dave Robicheaux novels, I went looking for Virginia’s equivalent. I found it in Cosby’s Nathan Waymaker. Cosby writes with the same grit, determination and vividness that I find in Burke. This gives life to both his novel and my home state of Virginia. I cannot wait to read the next one.

Wow a sex scandal at the church

I liked the intwined stories of the main character’s parent’s death and the police department. He slowly unfolded the plot bit by bit then exploded with the scandal and the retribution. I usually don’t like sex drama and killing by the author made it sort of respectable.
