Publisher's summary

Lorenzo Damiani. Tall. Dark. Handsome. Seductive. Enigmatic. Dominant. He was my knight in shining armor that fateful morning in Naples.

When he invited me to his tiny Italian island paradise, I was too far under his spell to say no. For one full week, I was uninhibitedly his. No ties. No pressure. The best-laid plans...

Now, I'm back home in Seattle. I'm definitely tied...and the pressure is on. I have a tiny surprise that will last forever.

But Lorenzo is the heir to a dark legacy he wants no part of. What will he do when he finds out he has an heir of his own?

Contains mature themes.

Another Good Story

I liked all three books in this series; all were a little different but good; all had great narrators that brought out the characters as intended. This book made me laugh out loud; Alexandre Steele’s narration in different dialects was fabulous. I wish the author would write additional books for this series using the same two narrators.

Mixed Feelings

LIGHT SPOILERS AHEAD: I have read a few of Camilla Stevens books before and overall I enjoy her writing. I notice that she tends to spend long periods of her writing in one particular location before moving to another. It can make the story progression seem slow paced in a way that almost drags but not completely. i dont mind a slow burn but it has to be worth the wait. I liked the premise of this story but I felt like if these two characters were going to get wrapped up in a world wind relationship, there needed to be more passion. At the end of the story, there is a part where the main characters forgive the people that have done wrong far too quickly. It would have been better for the author to walk the reader thru the process of forgiveness.
As for the narration, Alexandre Steele did a wonderful job with the accents and emotional inflections as Lorenzo. Chandra Skyee unfortunately was very stiff. It sounded like the voice you hear when you use the text to speech option. It lacked emotional range with the main characters but actually did a better job with the other side characters.
I don't really recommend this particular book but would recommend a few others in the series.

Very Good Read

I loved the story and how it wasn't a dead give away about the ending as some books have the tendency to do. I thought the story was smooth and the readers we're easy to understand and gave a good tone to the story.

Love the story!

I loved this love story! It was neatly crafted with a few of the expected twists but still very well done. With that being said, I, generally, like Chandra Skyye but she just wasn't the right female narrator for this story. Alexandre Steele was good but it seemed all of his voice overs were recorded at ear splitting decibels at times. It was weird how quiet her voice would be and then his voice would jolt me on the Lorenzo chapters. Neither of their performances, however, took away from he story. If you can get past the voices, this is a story worth diving into! On to the next one!

The Love Under Pressure

The story was good but it was like everyone was under pressure to do the right thing but the love between American and Italian and black and white was good mix of characters in the book I enjoy it

Too far fetched

This is not romance. Reckless behavior+ Lust+ infatuation does not= to love.
The story tried too hard the make a nearly impossible scenario plausible. The plot is weak and sketchy.
Too many stereotypes used.
I will not recommend this book. Sorry....
