Dorothy Kilgallen may be best known as a panelist on the game show “What’s My Line?” but as a syndicated writer with the Hearst papers, her “Voice of Broadway” column was devoured by millions of daily readers. Dorothy was a reporter at heart.

Although I was an adult during the timeframe of the book, I was unaware of all the things that happened and were possibly connected to the JFK death.

Mind-boggling sleuthing has uncovered major plot twists

I didn't expect so much of the book would be on the Kennedy assassination but now that I finished it, I understand why so much was devoted to it it's Intercal according to what I got from the book, and explaining her very mysterious death, and the fact that we still don't have Answers satisfactory to explain her death or JFK's tells us that the conspiracy theorists are not crazy but there is plenty of evidence that will probably never see the light of day unfortunately
Edge of the seat suspenseful storytelling

less interesting than expected

Honestly, I couldn't finish it. After reading more scholarly historical accounts of more substantial historical figures, this seemed gossipy. I was 15 when DK died and remembered her from TV. The more I read here, the less I liked her. She may well have been murdered, but by the end of the first half of the book, I didn't care. She was talented and successful, but I didn't see so much integrity as self- promotion. I admire her as a woman in a male-dominated field. I believe she may have been out of her depth when she got involved with her Cuban sources. But the overall celebrity culture is tawdry and petty when you get too close. Maybe I'm the wrong consumer for this book.

Raised a lot of questions!

It seemed that they were very thorough and that all the different angles were pursued. I got a good glimpse into DK.

BEST INFO ABOUT JFK ASSINATION WRITTEN

I have read almost every book about the murder as well as the Shaw books about Dorothy. The Incredible Life and Mysterious Death of Dorothy Kilgallen is the most up to date with extraordinary new revelations...you will be extremely surprised and spellbound.

The set -up was planned and "executed" to the last detail including the camera crew relegated to the end of the motorcade.. one of many purposeful breaks in routine protocol. If only Kennedy has noticed and put a stop to the whole thing. An American tragedy...continuing today as evidenced by current events.

I cannot recommend this book highly enough. It provides a brilliant summary of the the history going on at the time and insights into Ms. Kilgallen's remarkable life and also planned death.

Unfortunate Biography

Although the title makes no secret of this book’s topic, it’s sad that seemingly every biography of Dorothy Kilgallen has to get wrapped up in some ridiculous conspiracy theory about the JFK assassination. This is a good book until it evolves into yet another ludicrous conspiracy theory.
