The series motto should be, "Why not?"

This series confuses me. Not just in the traditional sense. I appreciate the MC is not an idiot... Most of the time. To many litRPG's tend to have a stupid, gullible, or otherwise brainless protagonist so the story can go along the safe and predictable path.

From day one John has done things his way, fuck the consequences. Doesn't matter of his reasoning is paper thin, his behavior Sociopathic, his goals nebulous. Bro does what bro wants, end of story.

I find this refreshing in a way. I can't say with a straight face that enjoyed the "story". I've listened to far too many books to believe this is a well crafted story. However, it does two things remarkably well.

World building, and entertainment. So much detail has been laid out about how these worlds interact, how they travel and behave in regards to each other that it's frankly amazing. I don't think I've ever read a book that featured so many planets. Maybe if you add Star trek Next gen and Voyager together you could approach the number of planets he's touched, but not even close to the total number.

Now, the entertainment part, wooow wee this guy is crazy. John, from day one has not given a shit about killing. The entire experience is predicated on killing anything he can convince himself needs killing. It doesn't take much really. Once the sinner system. Joined the fray it took even less. Once the number went about an arbitrary number he picked, he'd kill them. That's it, no questions asked. Unless he's torturing them of course. The fun bit is seeing what he do next. I find myself rooting for his crazy antics all the time. The escalation is incredible. At this rate he'll be diving into a sun, or black hole at the end of the series. He is immune to heat and pressures after all, why not. "Why not?" seems to be the motto of this series.

Awesome

NOT A REVIEW
This is not a review so much as it is a confirmation for people reading this series to purchase this installment as well. If you liked the first two books, OP MC, and are not afraid of some ruthlessness, buy it. Even if you don't like this things, buy it! Support this author :D

This is the third book in The Idle System series. While I thoroughly enjoy the first two books, the third one takes another direction. It focuses a bit more on developing the characters and is a bit more 'storytelling' with the main focus on setting up a life for the now two main characters. I was a bit disappointed halfway through the book because of the pacing, but now that I finished it, I cant wait for the next one! - This is an important factor to me; If a book makes you all excited for the next one, it did its job!

Narration is fitting for the book. At times the narrator seems like he is exaggerating things a bit too much, but to me, it agrees with the style of the book. May take about half an hour or so to get used to it, but I came to appreciate it.

Warning ** Contains SPOILERS in next section ** ** SPOILER ALERT ** SPOILERS BELOW **

During the final part of the book, John gains the titel of 'Demon'. While I read some reviews mentioning this as a negative point, and questioning how we are supposed to like John after this transformation, I disagree. John is himself, always. He is as friendly as he is ruthless, this is all part of his character. He never refrained from killing, not back on Earth and not now that he has become a total badass.

To the author ; Honestly, I LOVE OP characters. They sometimes show up in books and such as 'side' characters, but almost never as the main character. John is OP, not the strongest (yet) but extremely powerful and clever in his execution. I enjoy the character you created, and the direction you took it. Thank you, you did an amazing job. I bought the first 2 paperback, but will continue this series on audio. Once again, well played!

it's a fun story.

If you've read the previous two books then you know what to expect from this series, you will NOT be disappointed! I may not have cared for the love story aspects, but I respect it towards furthering the plot. I am excited to see where the story goes from here.

This series isnt worth it

The MC is basically the only character that gets any attention and he is:

- Overpowered
- psychopath
- Childish
- One dimensional
