Great narration for this entertaining story

The Ice Kiss is an emotional journey that I’m sure like me will touch you on so many levels. This is Rick and Gio ( Goldie) entertaining and emotional story. I was captivated from the moment I picked this book up but be warned this is a long book and at times I think it dragged just a little bit.

Shane East and Samantha Brentmoor did a wonderful job bring this book to life. They were spot on with the chemistry and the emotion but more importantly they connect so well and are easy to listen to.

Rick is the new captain of the Ice Kings hockey team and Gio is head of marketing and PR for the team and that should mean lines should not be crossed……Problem is when your heart wants something it’s hard to get your brain to work properly. Secrets are being kept and ulterior motives come into play because life at the Ice Kings is not all it seems. Ms Steele is the queen of twists and turns and I didn’t see the twists and turns in this book coming until they hit me smack in the face.
The chemistry is hot, the ulterior motives will keep you on the edge of your seat and the characters are adorable but it was the push/pull relationship of Rick and Gio that really captivated me.

Didn't feel it...

I am a big fan of L. Steele's interwoven universes and have listened to every single audiobook. So I hate to say it, but this one fell flat for me. I'm a total sucker for the fake fiance trope, but this story was all over the place and felt so disjointed. There were things mentioned about the characters' pasts that were glossed over or dropped completely, that I feel were huge missed opportunities. I wanted so badly to love Rick and Gio too. The constant whiplash between them just became tedious. Then there was the "big twist" which made me lose all respect for Rick. He never fully recovered in my eyes. On another note, I'm a massive hockey fan and the lack of knowledge/research showed. I cringed a few times over the terminology used. I only got though it because I LOVE the narration of Shane East and Samantha Brentmoor. They were flawless as usual.

Excellent hockey romance!

The Ice Kiss, an Audiobook by L. Steele is the deeply emotional, vengeful, touching story of Rick and Gio (Goldie). Oh my!!! What a convoluted, tragic, tender read!! Rick is the new Captain of the Ice Kings hockey team. Gio is head of marketing and PR for the team. But, there is more here than meets the eye!!! There are ulterior motives at work…things aren’t what they seem. Full of twists, turns, and shocks! My head was swimming from all the twists.

Loved the two characters and their push/pull relationship that continues throughout the book…plus, a multitude of revelations that occur when you least suspect them…they’ll make you grind your teeth!!! Then there’s some surprise appearances by some unexpected treasures!! LOVED THIS STORY!!!

This Audiobook was narrated by Shane East and Samantha Brentwood. Love Shane’s voice!!! His smooth, lyrical, masculine tones really breathes life to Rick’s character and makes him sound divine! Samantha brings out the spunk and fortitude of Gio…as well as the angst she brings to the table. Wonderful performances all around!!

A heartbreaker in training.

The alphas you love to hate, but can't help but love. I love Steele because she leads with the senses and then reveals the emotions. Ice Kiss brings the heat without question, but behind that inferno of temptation is a depth of soul. Rick and Gio are both a little bit broken. Behind the walls of silence and charm of attraction there are secrets. From ugly cry moments to sensory overload, the twists keep coming. Ice Kiss is a heartbreaker in training. Enough to overpower the senses and leave you craving more.

WOW!

No one can write HOT and STEAMY like L. Steele! This book had me laughing crying and whatever comes between. You get it All, perfectly imperfect. Georgina and Rick has chemistry like off the charts!!My ears are on fire and if this was a physical book and if this was Medieval times the pages would be on fire. But I digress. If you want panty melting narration get Shane East to read your books! The man is a genius when it comes to narrating a book. Bravo L. Steele and Shane East job well DONE!!!

Exciting

Another great story in the series. Although all the books are very similar I enjoy the differences. I have loved hearing about Rick and Gio chemistry since Declan’s story. This story had a lot of surprises. Very hot and loving.

Funny fake fiance sports rom

Spicy and witty enemies to lovers love story narrated by 2 of my favorites and Shane and Samantha do not disappoint. This was funny, engaging, the banter was just hilarious and their love is hot hot hot! These two really dont like each other but they end up working together, living together and fake engaged. For ed proximity at its finest! You will laugh all the way through. Dont miss this one!

GIO and RICK

Loved their story I mean Rick was definitely an alpha hole but I can see where grief can warp things. I loved that there were mentions of mental health issues and how it’s important to check on the ones you love. The fact that gio suffered from emotional and even mental issues made me love her so much . The characters were so real and holy wow the spicy scenes were dirrrrty but I loved them. Hats off to the narrators for their awesome job for bringing these characters to life. I swear some of the scenes had me blushing others had me laughing. All in all this book was fabulous .

This fake relationship romance was an emotional and steamy rollercoaster ride. Giorgina (Gio) moved to London after leaving her cheating ex to become the London Ice-Kings new PR manager. What she didn't expect was to have to room with their new hockey team captain, Rick Stone. Rick is ex-military, ex-bodyguard, and all grumpy, bossy alpha-male. They but heads at first, until they need each other to pretend they are engaged. What they didn't expect was to start to fall for each other. Gio sees the tender, vulnerable man behind the gruff exterior, and Rick is begins to realize that Gio is a strong, kind, loving woman who thinks of everyone before herself and who would never hurt anyone. When Rick wants to make it real, he must first reveal all his secrets that will break both their hearts. Rick and Gio's heart-pounding story is filled with humor, drama, and sizzling passion.
Shane East, Samantha Brentmoor are fabulous together as Rick and Gio. East was able to balance Rick's grumpy, bossy alpha side with his softer, thoughtful, loving side, and Brentmoor played the strong, feisty Gio with her heartbreaking vulnerabilities perfectly. Their chemistry was just as hot as they brought these characters and story to life making this emotional and sizzling story even better.

Gio and Rick 💕

This book is spicy and has some hot scenes. Gio is also a fan of L. Steele and spicy romance in general and Rick's 82-year-old grandma is also.
They are both so in love with each other, but because of their past it is not easy for them to get past. There is Gio's ex, Rick's dead sister, and sure there is Grams.
we can't forget "Tiny", the dog. He is wonderful Great Dane who is responsible for a lot of couples.
