Nice light mystery

Definitely a good beach read. Short and easy listen. The narrator’s voice is top notch. Slipped right into their world and sat in the corner as it all played out. Not too much time spent fleshing out character or relationships, but just enough. Perfect to listen to while I remodel my basement.

short and sweet

I was a bit skeptical as it was only a little more than 2hrs long. but it was a great one!

I haven’t written a review in a long while

And here is why. No matter what I type it’s inherent in the human race to surmise, get an inkling. So what I’ll tell u is this is a great book! I highly recommend for those who/done-it’s out there.

What a twist

100% worth the listen. I had no clue that was going to happen 😲. May actually listen again to see if I missed clues.

Confusing narrator

The narrator was so frustrating! Her tone does not change for any of the characters. Not. At. All. I never knew who was speaking. On top of that, I could never tell if the character was saying the dialogue out loud or if they were thinking it. If it weren't for this book being so short I would have stopped listening. However the writing was good and it held my attention. I enjoyed the story.

Columbo, Perry Mason Fans take Notice

After some heavy, long true crime listens, this novella was a perfect fun, entertaining break. Reminded me of the timeless Who Done It TV shows like Perry Mason, Columbo, etc. The narrator and story made me feel like I was there with believable characters, but it does have a TV timeline approach to solve a major crime. Enjoyed it in this context!

Fantastic!! Really did not realise until the end, I usually can figure who did it before the ending!

I really enjoyed this short listen. Got through it in 1 sitting. Narration was good and the story kept me interested. Can't complain!

Could have been good

How do you write a story from a person’s perspective where they don’t know what’s going on but in the end, they knew everything. Wish I hadn’t listened.
