Excellent story!!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend this book to my friends. It is a good wholesome story as are all her books. I love Robyn Carr's books. They are not full of sex but do have romance in them.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Iries is a good character becuase she feels like she was slighted by the love of her life. As the story goes on it just gets better and better. She is very active in the schools and looks out for the children. Excellent character!
What about Therese Plummer’s performance did you like?
Very good story teller.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Robyn's books always make me laugh and sometimes cry depending on the situation. I didn't really have an extreme reaction to this book. Just a great story as always. Wish it had been a little longer.

A very good series! Read in order!
If you could sum up The Homecoming in three words, what would they be?
Small town, life's issues, interesting
Who was your favorite character and why?
Iris and Seth go hand in hand as favorites because they have a life history growing up. Their honesty and desire to be of help where others might turn their backs. This small town community is very intriguing! A very good series.
What about Therese Plummer’s performance did you like?
Therese Plummer does an excellent narration of all characters and all books I have listened to; she definitely has a gift portraying all characters with individuality.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
There were both laughing moments but I felt this book dealt with some serious life issues making it more serious. It's handled very well.
Any additional comments?
My husband and I both enjoyed this entire series so it's not just a woman's read. Very well done. Love the town of yesterday and the people who all have their own humor.

Good Main Character; Good Listen
I really liked the lead character Iris; she's a great counselor and the kind of friend everyone wants. The male lead Seth, like all the male leads in this series is flawed, insensitive and more often than not clueless but because they're so special the woman recognize the guy's inherent goodness that they marry them anyway. Given the picture she paints of him it seems that anyone as together as she is would get over her childhood crush on the high school football star; it doesn't seem that the years have changed him all that much.
There is the standard high school queen, the violent jock, and the sensitive, caring ex-marine turned teacher who really cares. The characters stories in this series tend to extend through two, maybe three books, then become reference points who don't speak.
I was exposed to this series by the female members of our informal book club and I've found that the author is quite a good writer. I realize that as a male I'm not a member of the author's target audience but with like so many authors in the genre using football players as romantic interests a little actual knowledge might be helpful. For that matter just giving a perusal of an NFL roster to get an updated idea of the actual size of today's players would be beneficial.
That being said the author the author creates characters that the reader, or listener can get behind and feel compassion for. Iris for instance is her best character since Devon made her appearance in book three.

Lacking of Depth
What disappointed you about The Homecoming?
I love Robyn books, but sometimes her women are silly and makes the situation all about them. Again she did that with Iris, when Steph father had the medical issues. She comes crying it all her fault, really. This story was so predictable but end was lacking true depth. It's not a horrible book, but one I wouldn't miss reading or listening to again. Normally I like to go back and listen several times.
Has The Homecoming turned you off from other books in this genre?
No, but will pay more attention to the previews
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
The performance was fine Threres Plummer is awesome reader
What character would you cut from The Homecoming?
None of them., the characters are fine. I would just think about the plot of the book and see if it's appears real and if the women character seem silly and unrealistic.

4 The Homecoming Stars
I very much liked this story. I am a fan of second chance romance’s. This book just was sweet and a little sad but what I loved about it is that it is also real.
The guidance counsellor doesn’t always have all the answers but she is there for and ear or someone to get advice from. I really liked how friendly she was with everyone.
But she was real too, when her old friend comes back she doesn’t through any punches she tells him like it is. And how much he hurt her. She isn’t looking for their friendship back but he is persistent and doesn’t give us at all. (Which just made me like him all the more.)
This book also deals with some heavy issues, like accidents (cars) and abuse. I liked how it wasn’t a side note it was our in the open and talked about discussed and with possible solutions.
I love Therese Plummer she just puts so much emotion into her performance’s you can’t help but love the book based on that alone.
*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Interesting story!
I’ve read all of the Virgin River and Sullivan’s Crossing Series books by Robyn Carr. Thunder Point is an interesting series with many lively characters. I was beginning to think the stories were all blending together and sounding the same. This storyline caught my attention, with attention to the past history of the characters. It was hard to believe at first that this despicable man would be able to redeem himself, and especially that a teenager would be so drunk that he would completely forget what he did. The amount of time that passed between the event and when the story takes place, and the amount of time he took before he could be actually forgiven made the story more believable to me. I love the subtle references in the story to other books! Troy’s reference to the mountains in California with a little bar like “this one”... Jacks? I have read so many of Robyn’s books that I am beginning to guess what the next line in the story is! I love it when that happens! The surprise guest at the end of the story made a tears flow from my eyes. A great story to listen to - Read it in a day!
