Story
The Qur'an, believed by Muslims to be the word of God, was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad 1,400 years ago. It is the supreme authority in Islam and the living source of all Islamic teaching; it is a sacred text and a book of guidance that sets out the creed, rituals, ethics, and laws of the Islamic religion. It has been one of the most influential books in the history of literature. Recognized as the greatest literary masterpiece in Arabic, it has nevertheless remained difficult to understand in its English translations.

Sahih Al Bukhari is a collection of sayings and deeds of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), also known as the sunnah. The reports of the Prophet's sayings and deeds are called ahadith. Bukhari lived a couple of centuries after the Prophet's death and worked extremely hard to collect his ahadith. Each report in his collection was checked for compatibility with the Qur'an, and the veracity of the chain of reporters had to be painstakingly established.

Surat Al 'Imran (The House of Joachim) is the third surah of the Qur'an. In Islam, Imran is believed to be the father of Maryam (the mother of Jesus). The chapter is notable for attributing feminine origins to humankind. In addition to this, it states that some Quranic verses are allegorical and some are to be understood by others. It also features a disclaimer against misrepresenting the allegorical verses as factual and asserts that a special set of people, those firmly rooted in knowledge, are to be consulted. Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah, and those who are with him, are severe against the disbelievers, and merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and falling down prostrate (in prayer), seeking bounty from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure. The mark of them (i.e. of their Faith) is on their faces (fore heads) from the traces of prostration (during prayers). This is their description in the Taurah (Torah).

Prayer, or salah, in Islam is something amazing, and it's the way Muslims talk with Allah. Muslims make Salah every day, five times a day. It's a form of worship that was previously reserved only for prophets, yet during Muhammad's life, peace be upon him, Allah included any of the followers in this honorable and most distinguished group.

Experience a bold take on this classic autobiography as it’s performed by Oscar-nominated Laurence Fishburne. In this searing classic autobiography, originally published in 1965, Malcolm X, the Muslim leader, firebrand, and Black empowerment activist, tells the extraordinary story of his life and the growth of the Human Rights movement. His fascinating perspective on the lies and limitations of the American dream and the inherent racism in a society that denies its non-White citizens the opportunity to dream, gives extraordinary insight into the most urgent issues of our own time.

Life is never a bed of roses. We suffer from heartbreak, pain, and calamity, any of which might drive us to depression. However, at times, depression can just be there for no specific reason at all, and when this happens, it is imperative we seek help for it. Allah SWT, the creator of universe, has revealed the Noble Quran as a guide for mankind till the end of time, giving us a guide to help us through depression. Some surahs of the Quran are valuable listening during depression and anxiety, as their meanings and messages can help alleviate depression, inshaa Allah.

Story
Islam has been one of the most powerful religious, social, and political forces in history. Over the last 1,400 years, from origins in Arabia, a succession of Muslim polities, and later empires expanded to control territories and peoples that ultimately stretched from southern France to East Africa and South East Asia. Yet many of the contributions of Muslim thinkers, scientists, and theologians, not to mention rulers, statesmen, and soldiers, have been occluded. This book rescues from oblivion and neglect some of these personalities and institutions.

Publisher's Summary
The most famous and listenable holy book in the world!
The Quran, a book which brings glad tidings to mankind along with divine admonition, stresses the importance of man's discovery of truth on both spiritual and intellectual planes.
Every book has its objective, and the objective of the Quran is to make man aware of the Creation plan of God. That is, to tell man why God created this world; what the purpose is of settling man on Earth; what is required from man in his pre-death life span, and what he is going to confront after death. The purpose of the Quran is to make man aware of this reality, thus serving to guide man on his entire journey through life into the afterlife.
The main themes of the Quran are enlightenment, closeness to God, peace, and spirituality. The Quran uses several terms, tawassum, tadabbur, and tafakkur, which indicate the learning of lessons through reflection, thinking and contemplation on the signs of God scattered across the world.

Masterful Recitation by M. Alafasy
Mishary al-Afasy is my favorite hafiz, his recitation is superb. I wouldn’t change anything about the recordings (these are his most famous and esteemed tracks), but there is definitely a problem with loading some of the tracks in the high 100s and the 200s as well. I’d like to see these bugs updated and fixed. Also I’d like to answer a question posted by another reviewer: There is a perfectly good reason for the extra tracks (the Qur'ān has 114 chapters, not 200+), this is NOT a mistake. There are simply additional versions of certain chapters which, if I’m not mistaken, are recorded by different reciters. There are intro tracks, A.L.M. has its own separate track in the version I have, and there are tracks with dedicatory notes and publishing/copyright info as well. So, again, nobody messed up - there is simply a wealth of additional recordings on top of the 114 perfectly-recited Surahs.
My hat is off to you, Sīdiyy al-Afasy. Jazaakum Allahu bil-khayr!

What happened to tracks 60 and above?
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Why are there 231 tracks when there should only be 114 (115 with the dumb intro track that puts all the chapter numbers off by one) and the last tracks have no sound and are less than a minute long. I don't think so, someone messed up with recording the audio about halfway through the Quran. Did they think people wouldn't notice or listen all the way through?
What does Mishary bin Rashid bin Gharib bin Muhammad Alafasy bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I like his recitation because it is clearly pronounced and easy to understand. There is no unnecessary reverberations or echoes to make it seem more "holy". The speed is perfect, not to slow or fast.
Any additional comments?
Please don't delete or remove this audiobook. I love it, I just want it fixed!

Great for memorising
Give it 5 stars because it was read well and you can play in car or Bluetooth etc. It’s great for learning or just listening.
Highly recommend it although I’m not sure about the way it is read - it was less like reading but more like ‘ singing ‘ without music because the reciter has a beautiful voice & is rhythmic. But you should check it out yourself.

Unsure when the actual Quran ends. Should be 114 suras
The recitation is good. However, the Quran has 114 Suras- this Qur’an has 229 chapters. Not sure what the other chapters are as I do not understand Arabic. It would have been helpful to have the names of the suras or the name of the Paras.

Beautiful full Quran Kareem
This is the complete Quran Kareem recited by Sheikh Alafasy. Each Surah is introduced in Arabic (briefly). The is one Surah per chapter of the audiobook so it’s easy to find the Surah you want even without a list of chapter titles. Another reviewer commented that there are lots of other chapters at the end - this is another complete recitation by a different sheikh (still in the style of Hafs e Asim, still one Surah per chapter). The second recitation is a little less clear so I prefer to listen to Sheikh Alafasy who has been recorded very clearly. Listening on audible has the advantage of being able to alter the speed eg for memorising and also to take clips etc. Well worth a credit!
