Great historical mystery

I was worried this book would be too creepy for me, but it wasn’t creepy at all. It was a great split time tale that involved ghosts and witches but wasn’t scary at all. The narrator was great and both stories were very interesting. I really enjoyed it

I couldn’t stop listening. What an excellent story! It has everything… mystery, history, and romance. And the ending was just perfect!

Kept me guessing until the very end.

I really enjoy everything that Irina Shapiro has written. Her books tend to draw me in from the very start. This book was intensely interesting. I like the flow if the dual time line and getting bits and pieces of the story. The end was really wonderful and totally not what I was expecting.
