She's not truly a governess. He doesn't want to be a dutiful lord. They're about to collide in this deliciously steamy conclusion to the Unexpected Lords series from USA Today bestselling author Scarlett Scott.
Oliver "Knight" Knightly, newly inherited Earl of Stoneleigh, has been summoned home to England after the sudden death of his brother. However, he has no intention of allowing familial obligations to keep him from the life he made for himself as a champion boxer in America. He will see his wayward nieces settled with a capable governess and return to the fame, fortune, and adoring ladies awaiting him.
Proudly unconventional, Lady Corliss Collingwood plans to establish herself as an author, travel the world, and do whatever pleases her at the moment. What better way to research her novel-in-progress than by posing as a governess? Overseeing a few young ladies can hardly be too difficult a challenge. Can it?
Unfortunately for Corliss, it can. Especially when the ladies in question prove to be wild hellions, and their uncle is the most handsome, tempting, arrogant, vexing man she's ever met. Neither Corliss nor Knight can afford to surrender to the irresistible attraction sparking between them. But that doesn't stop them from finding their way into each other's arms. And before long, into each other's hearts…

And the nieces were so terrible & completely undisciplined, unpunished, or engaged enough by the adults to warrant the illogical pity & perplexing loyalty the heroine "feels" & excuses their bad behavior for; or the supposed affection the hero has (who has been gone their whole lives) as expressed internally to the reader. It feels insulting to the reader to have so much tepid illogical character behaviors, actions, & thoughts be fed to us in what seemed to be an intriguing story idea.
By chapter 8, the romance finally heats up a little only to end again in a flop. Sigh. I appreciate noble heros & assertive heroines, but usually they can still successfully consummate in a romance story. But three more times like this until chapter 11/12.
Chapter 15, when it SHOULD have reached a romantic climax for heroine to leave (& make him chase her...no. She, in two minutes, talks herself out of a logical response & into a total doormat compliance to his "solution." By chapter 18, she's apologizing to him when he's being an abusive ass to her? Cmon! Where is this wonderful author's strong hero/heroine/plot mojo?!

Great love story!

I just wish that the male and female narrators could share the chapters. so that the female character could always be her voice and his could always be the male's voice! I'd pay extra for that!
Sexy!!

My advice? Scott can and has written far better. This isn't worth the time.
Such potential wasted
