In this landmark book of interfaith dialogue, the Dalai Lama provides an extraordinary Buddhist perspective on the teachings of Jesus, commenting on well-known passages from the four Christian Gospels including the Sermon on the Mount, the parable of the mustard seed, the Resurrection, and others. Drawing parallels between Jesus and the Buddha - and the rich traditions from which they hail - His Holiness delivers a profound affirmation of the sacred in all religions. Listeners will be inspired by the Dalai Lama's discussion of the endless merits of each tradition and uplifted by the common humanity between them.

Once the book gets going, it is very interesting and I will listen to it again as I missed understanding everything.
Wonderful to have a Christian book on Amazon that isn’t fundamentalist!

If you could sum up The Good Heart in three words, what would they be?
Over-analyzed, Interesting, MeaningfulWho was your favorite character and why?
The Dalai Lama's interpreter, I Just felt like he was listening to the Dalai Lama with the same contemplative anticipation that I was and I felt a sort of kinship with him from the start.Which scene was your favorite?
When The Dalai Lama Told the joke that caused his interpreter uncontrollable giggles. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Anytime the Dalai Lama expressed his gratitude or sense of closeness to his fellow man is moving.Any additional comments?
I almost gave this book up because I feel like the writer was interjecting too much of his own interpretation of what the Dalai Lama meant into it and I can not stand to be told what I'm supposed to take away from an abstract concept! So I almost swapped this book out for another one but I managed to stick it out by simply ignoring those parts but there were a lot of them so it was a pain, but the overall book is worth the listen, and hey if you are the type of person who enjoys other people telling you what you're supposed to glean from someone else's wisdom then this intrusive habit of the writer's shouldn't bother you!Better than expected after the first chapter...
