Very short for an audible credit

I thought I was purchasing a book by Brene brown but got a 30 minute synopsis of her book. For this I had to pay for a whole book?

Great content, terrible narration!

Brené Brown‘s work is phenomenal. I know many, many people who are familiar and well versed in Dr. Brown’s work. I don’t know anybody that thinks her work is anything short of phenomenal. Unfortunately, this “summary book“ is narrated by a person who shouldn’t be narrating. The narrator’s response to punctuation is odd and inconsistent. For example, he doesn’t pause long enough at periods, and he pauses in midsentence. There’s no flow. It’s very distracting…so much so that it negatively affects the ability to really take in the content. Also, Brené Brown is a wonderful narrator, and her voice, as well as her command of her own content, are additional benefits when listening to her narrate her own books. Unfortunately, the narrator of this book is nowhere near a Brené Brown.

Short

It wasn’t made clear it was just a summary of the book. Information given was good, but not worth one credit.

Be aware this is just a summary!!

Mistakenly bought this summary instead of the actual book. Disappointing! I’ll be more careful next time when buying off the app.

Nice Review of the Book

The narrator did an excellent job. Unfortunately I thought I downloaded the actual book, not the overview.

Refreshing

Enjoyed the calm, soothing voice of the narrator and the straight-to-the-point summary of the damaging effects of Perfectionism. What a lesson for whoever will listen and act. Thank you!

Very Helpful Summary

My sister recommended the book The Gifts of Imperfection. It sounded like something I would like to read, but the audiobook won’t be out for quite a few more months. I decided to listen to the summary to get an overview of the book. I enjoyed the narration, and I think I got the main takeaways from the book which I really enjoyed. I am a super slow reader so I don’t usually get around to reading many physical books. I much prefer to listen while I work. This summary was a great way to get bite-sized chunks of a much longer book. I’ll definitely consider buying the full version when it comes out.
