Come play with us....

Buildings have memories. Places bear scars. We've all had those moments - a chill in the air, a sense that something terrible once happened where we stand. But some houses are more than scary. They're hungry.

Larkspur House has lured five kids inside, and they're trapped. The five will have to look carefully - there are clues to the house's secrets scattered all over the grounds, and if they can figure out the past, it might show them a way out of their terrifying present. Will they stay strong enough to discover the house's weakness and escape? Or will the horrors of Larkspur House scare the five right out of their minds?

Dash had a chance to say good-bye to his brother, which most people dont really have the chance to do so. I cant wait until I read the second book!!!

I read most of this in a physical book and listened to the final hour on AudioBook. Overall the audio was amazing and I enjoyed the voices and dialogue (I’m kind of weird when it comes to audiobooks). The story line was great and I absolutely loved the twist at the end. I won’t say it’s a top notch read because it was kind of slow moving and only had one major twist (it’s amazing for what it is). I am more into longer fantasy and thriller books (I picked this up to read with my daughter who is 12). But all in all it was a great book and I will most likely ready the rest of the books with her as well.

Good read!

all around great story. likeable characters in a fun/creepy haunted house/ghost story. short and to the point, it lacks drawn out scenes and frivolous detail. meant for a younger audience, it doesn't rely on gory violence or disturbing perversions to be creepy, just old fashioned scary story-telling. looking forward to exploring the author's other works.

great horror story for all ages

I’m a big Halloween fan, but am not crazy about super gory stuff. I was looking for a fun, easy to listen to story that I could listen to on my morning commute. I like the writing, performance, and twists through out the story. I definitely enjoyed this.

Fun short read
